High Force is a stunning waterfall nestled in the North Pennines, where the River Tees plunges dramatically over ancient rock formations. The scenic walk leading to the falls adds to the experience, with peaceful woodlands and picturesque views along the way. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers looking to soak in the beauty of one of England's most impressive natural landmarks. The staff at High Force are very knowledgeable and friendly, taking the time to explain the history and features of the area in detail. Their insights really enhance the visit and make the experience more meaningful. Just be cautious on the paths, especially after rain, as some sections can be quite slippery. We had a lovely day.

It was a easy 20 minute walk not to strenuous until you get to the bottom. You have to be sure footed to make your way over the rocks, especially when wet. The views are stunning. I would like to see it after a heavy rainfall.

Not having a lot of time we parked at the hotel (ÂŖ3 for three hours) and got tickets (ÂŖ3.75) also from the hotel. Worth it ! Lovely walk down through the woods on a well maintained path, waterfall in full flow, fantastic to watch with the sun behind it, the pool dark below.
Well signed return walk, tea at the hotel. Perfect afternoon, though you could spend the whole day if you wanted.

An amazing sight! Only 35/45 minutes walk along the river from Low Force Waterfall (Free to visit) until you arrive at the pub where you can purchase your tickets 🎟 for High Force Waterfall. Very reasonably priced and well worth it for the views you will see. You won't be disappointed!!!

Amazing natural beauty spot, plenty of parking near by with a reasonable charge, there is a small charge to walk the trail and we were given an activity sheet for the kids. you can walk a little further up the road to access this for free or walk across the other side from low force and see the view from the top

Lots of parking at the hotel and reasonable rates, you can even stay overnight if in a motorhome. Ticket price for entry was only a few pounds and worth the cost. Visiting in Autumn is spectacular, the colours are beautiful. The walk was relatively easy. a few steps involved if you walk back through the woods.

A fabulous place with a beautiful forest. The waterfall is nice, although I've seen better ones. We dropped in there while passing through and it was worth it, just right for a short walk 🙂 The downside is the place where you buy tickets... You stand there like a stake for a few minutes because you order tickets where you order food. In addition, the parking is also not cheap. I recommend it for a one-time trip 🙂

Firstly you have pay to park next to the High force hotel , unless you walk from Bowlees visitor centre which is quite a way . Then we had to purchased tickets to visit the waterfall . However the paths are well maintained and its a nice walk to the waterfall , which was in full flow . A further walk takes you up the hillside to the top of the falls which were gated and locked . You can scale the fence at your own risk !
