Wonderful place to stay. Luxurious, clean and comfortable. Robert and Richard were great hosts. Lovely views overlooking the coastline and surrounding moorlands. Breakfasts were superb! - plenty of options and surpassed expectations. Easy walking routes directly from the doorstep to Valley of the rocks and Watersmeet

We chose Highcliffe House because of the location and super high ratings. It is a place of a certain style and if you like it then you will love it. However, if you have a leaning towards the impersonal style of modern hotels it might not be for you.||The décor, furnishings and style of the owners, Robert and Richard, is very eclectic and, I think, nicely reflects their personalities. They strive for very high standards and you are under no illusions about this. To some degree I felt over managed (I know my partner doesn’t agree) but the result is that everything is just so.||Breakfast is probably the best example; they allocate you a breakfast time for your stay. No wandering down when you feel like it. But the consequence is that when you arrive down for breakfast everything is ready for you. They are proud of their breakfast and quite right too. They’ve achieved that catering miracle of appearing to offer a small choice (no mega-buffet) but you leave fully satiated … and some.||Our room on the top floor was very comfortable, a good size and with extensive views over the Severn Estuary. It is a stroll down (and up…) a modest hill to a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Plenty of advice from our hosts.||Would it be a review without something to complain about? Well, the shower head and pump pressure could be improved and if you are parking a larger car it can be a little tight (especially in the dark and rain) – the guidance was much appreciated. And that’s it.||Definitely worth the trip for a comfortable stay and good value.

This is a beautiful place to stay! Our room was Summerhouse. Such a welcoming room, so relaxing. It has a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was lovely and warm (you can turn the radiator down if you are too warm). Although we don’t have a cooked breakfast, everything we had (porridge, fruit, muesli, toast) was was really good. Robert and Richard are really helpful with information about activities in the area. We can positively recommend this guest house.

We expected the stars, but we had the moon too.
Every aspect of this stay was simply perfection. From the warmest of welcomes from Robert to the fresh fruit and Richard's menu at breakfast, every minute was a joy. I need an essay to do justice to this stay. Be sure to see for yourself; you won't be disappointed. The hosts, the house and decor, the soft music and delicious food, and the views have all been rewarded with well-deserved five-star awards. Thank you, Richard and Robert; we look forward to seeing you next year.

We stayed for the final weekend before Robert finally called it a "wrap" to a very successful season! Both Richard and Robert had so much energy and enthusiasm this long weekend following a busy season.||We have been regular visitors for a few years now, staying a couple of times a year. We have never been disappointed. Everything is as described on the website plus a few extra pleasant surprises. It's a special place with a warm welcome. Highly recommended.||I can particularly recommend Mulberry and Summerhouse rooms which are a good size, large comfortable beds, soft white towels, warm and cosy, right down to the hot water bottle for the chill evenings.||Love these guys, they are wholly committed and deserve all the awards. |We look forward to the next sojourn.

Highcliffe House is a great place to stay. It's a lovely old house with a fantastic view out to sea. Our room with its king-sized bed was very comfortable with all the amenities you could want. The breakfasts are outstanding, beautifully cooked using the best ingredients and vegetarians are well catered for. The hosts, Richard and Robert, are welcoming and helpful. Would really recommend it
