Not a great breakfast in the cafe. Toilets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a month, mugs were dirty, selection of cutlery was dirty (you need to top up the salt and rinse aid in your dishwasher btw) and toast was forgotten. The breakfast itself was around £11 and I’ve had better in a Wetherspoons. Not really sure what the three in the till area were doing, looked like one standing around, one doing most of the work and the other mostly chatting to the one who was standing around.

Visited the restaurant a few times during January and February 25 and almost every time have been served by Angela
She is lovely, smiles all the time, extremely happy and pleasant towards my partner and I which is a real joy and bonus to eat at Hilliers. She has made a point of remembering my surname and greets me as such.
A real ambassador for the garden centre.

Love this Garden Centre and Cafe, went today and had sausage and mash which was delicious and cooked perfectly by Matt although I couldn't finish the large portion size 😀 it was lovely. I do sense there is a staffing problem sometimes and feel sorry for the rudeness of customers to the one staff member thats doing their best!! I've suffered this myself and it's stressful, you end up losing both customers and staff, otherwise its a great place to be.

Cafe visit with cooked breakfasts and a range of cakes. However, a very 'utility' feel about it with very slow service at the counter so not the best venue for a coffee meet unless shopping at the centre.

I have always loved visiting the CAFE with my friend usually on a weekly basis and we both enjoy a coffee.
Sadly on a visit 3/12/24 whilst queuing I noticed 2 sausage rolls not covered a fly landed on one then the other, the lady in front of me said she had already mentioned this to the server but nothing was done.
When it was my turn to order I mentioned the sausage rolls and flys again. My comment was meet with a blank expression. My coffee was served and I sat down. I then mentioned my concern to another member of cafe staff, he said he would sort it, 5 minutes later I see him talking to another cafe staff member who I later found out was the chef. Her words “JUST COVER THEM” 😱
That’s me not eating there ever and I urge others to be cautious

Coffee shop is good. I had coffee walnut cake and hot chocolate both very nice. They do a couple of varieties of afternoon tea though I haven't tried these the photos looked good. The garden centre has an excellent choice of plants. Indoors there are many gift ideas and a large area of cake/sweet treats to buy. Lots to see. Good sized parking area outside too.

I just wanted to take this opportunity of highly recommending the Mulberry & Thyme restaurant at the Hillier Garden Centre in Marlow. On Saturday, 24 August, my Mum and I had booked in for Afternoon Tea and whao it did not disappoint. In fact it was, quite simply, the best afternoon tea we have had! The sandwiches were fresh and generously filled, the homemade fruit scones were delicious, light and almost fluffy in texture, and the lemon meringue and strawberry mousse cup was the perfect palate cleanser - refreshing, delicious and not too sweet.
The staff (Isabelle, Tracey and the shop manager who was covering that day as there was no restaurant manager) deserve a special mention; friendly, professional and just lovely people who added to our lovely experience. Highly recommend this super place and we will definitely be regulars! Thank you!
