Edwards buildbase has come on leaps and bounds overthe last year or two.
The staff are really decent and friendly and helpful.
I recently had some patio materials to be sorted with my son and the chap at the counter was really helpful and friendly with decent advice over what to buy.
On top of that the driver who delivered was so helpful and prompt and punctual and could not do enough to help us out.

Brilliant, top notch service and I would not go anywhere else for building materials.
And the prices are very competitive to boot!

What happened up Buildbase!? Used to be helpful and professional...

Caused a complete waste of time, one price over the phone another price when you actually go to order it in person because they wouldn't take order over the phone. Unprofessional and disorganised, what a shame.

Maybe it depends on which member of staff you get but I won't waste my time next time I need materials.

Always helpful. Slight mix up with delivery but all sorted out in the end. Have used them for the build of our extension along with various other projects such as fencing etc and they have always had what I need.

I have a habit of thinking of buildbase as I have one near my business and I ring and get good service and prices. Note I do not have an account. However MH Buidlbase give high prices that others to non account holders. They use the outdated duel pricing with no prices on the shelf so its up to the person on the till to decide what to charge, even though I drive a commercial vehicle and clearly am not a non trade customer . I went a couple of days ago, and left wondering why I came as what I got was expensive, and TP who are closer to my home, and have clear prices and online were cheaper. note to self, do not go here! The only reason for 2* is the range of materials and stock levels, will go if I am stuck

Superb customer service from all the team. We have been running a major project to enhance our property over the last 3 years and the team at Buildbase are now our supplier of choice and the first place we go for help and advice.

Grumpy staff, made me pick my own wood, then when I asked if they could cut it chap grunted 'i'll lend u a saw' when I've been in before a lady has offered to cut stuff up. Disappointing customer service.

As building merchants go in the current climate, these are pretty good, stock levels can be a little hit and miss but it is what it is. Helpful and friendly staff.
