Had such a great time with Jon! He’s a super talented sculptor and an awesome teacher—funny, relaxed, and really knows how to make everyone feel comfortable. We laughed a lot and ended up with two sculptures we’re genuinely proud of. It was a really fun and creative experience. Highly recommend his sculpture classes if you’re looking to try something new and have a great time doing it!

I recently did the ‘make a pottery animal in a day’ course with Jon with no previous experience of pottery at all. I’ve done many different craft courses across all kinds of disciplines and Jon’s was one of the best ones. My Mum also joined and we were both happy to find that the groups are kept purposefully small so that Jon has the time to support everyone with their project.

We had quite low expectations about what we would come out with -the last course we did was Mosiacs and my husband took a look at my Mosiac and said it was a “really good turtle”. It was a rose(!) - so we were over the moon to come out with something that actually looked like an animal thanks to Jon’s guidance and help. We also both said we found it the most relaxing of the craft workshops we’ve done.

I highly recommend doing a course with Jon, as well as checking out his own work which is beautiful. I will definitely be booking onto another course!

I have just completed a 5 day sculpting course with Jon. Arriving very nervous having very little experience, Jon was at hand throughout the whole process giving me confidence every step of the way. I have been on hand building courses and can’t stress enough that none of them compare to the amount of learning I derived from these 5 days. I have built an animal from scratch (not small) and I can’t wait to book for next year. Value for money 10/10, fun 10/10, professional and encouraging 10/10. It’s a course I will never forget! I have attended many of Jon’s workshops, including the 5 Day Animal Sculpture Course. I always have a such a lovely time. Jon is a a really great teacher. He is very patient, skilled and knowledgeable . The workshops are kept to a very small number of attendees so Jon is always available to give guidance and answer questions. I would highly recommend Jon’s workshops to anyone who has an interest in pottery and ceramic sculpture, regardless of their experience level. I already have my next animal sculpture day booked!

Attending a course run by Jon is always a joy. He is endlessly patient and goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone receives the right level of support and guidance, whether a complete beginner or a more experienced maker. Jon’s skill and experience shines through and I am always impressed by his ability to translate his knowledge into practical hints and tips whilst allowing the individual to work in the way that suits them best. I have learned so much over the two years that I have been attending Jon’s courses and look forward to continuing the journey.

Have attended three of Jon’s workshops and hope to attend more. Number of participants is kept small so you can get all the guidance from Jon you need. Jon is a brilliant teacher, calm and patient. Lots of fun and laughter through out the session. Always leave feeling such a buzz. Cannot recommend highly enough.

What a great few hours experience, we loved it and have been twice, we took friends the 2nd time who also loved it, very therapeutic and jon is so patient with us useless people, would highly recommend the pottery throwing class, great fun it's a must.
