Poor service from start to finish with Joshua Donald making basic errors in the design. 6 months after the kitchen was fitted, I’m still running after them to resolve outstanding issues and every time I contact them, my messages are left unanswered until after the third or fourth chaser someone eventually gets back to me and now they have stopped responding completely.

Referred to Don through a friend and cannot be more pleased.Had 3 previous kitchen fit outs (in different houses) and this has been the best experience. He built on the bog standard designs we had, suggested design features, recommended appliances but where we wanted an upgraded spec he helped co-ordinate, factory built units arrived (previously experienced flat pack), and skilled fitters installed in two days. BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN.

We met Don and Claudia of Joshua Donald Kitchens at the Grand Designs Live Exhibition 2023. We said we were not looking for a kitchen yet but maybe in the new year. Claudia asked would it be ok to call in January to which we agreed. True to her word Claudia rang us in the new year to book an appointment with Don to see what our requirements were.

Don came to our home and we told him exactly what we wanted in the design, which was a lot in a relatively small kitchen. Within a week he came back to us with a brilliant design and with everything we had asked for and more. We were told by Claudia that Don would design us a beautiful kitchen and she was so right.

From then on we dealt with Tom who was the assigned project manager who answered all of our questions and any queries we had. He was always on the end of the phone.

So far so good, but having said that, you can have a beautiful German Kitchen but if it’s not fitted correctly, you are doomed. We had no worries in that respect because from the first day of fitting we knew that Bog Dan and his Brother Mihai, (the fitters,) were both special. They are both extremely skilled and would arrive every day on time and work most days until late. They came across a couple of unforeseen obstacles but because they are so skilled, they were able to rectify them without it becoming a problem. They were courteous and respectful of our home and nothing was too much trouble for them. Every day before they left they would leave everything neat and tidy for the following day. I would have them both working in my home any day. They are both extremely trustworthy.

So thank you Don, Claudia, Tom, Bog Dan and Mihai for an excellent design and installation of our beautiful new dream kitchen. We love it!

We recently purchased a kitchen and were very impressed with the level of service from this business. They went above and beyond to help us find our perfect kitchen and the quality of German kitchens is of the highest standard and suited our budget. There was minimum disruption whilst the kitchen was being renovated and the workmen were very professional in carrying out the work. Brilliant!

My wife and I spent a long time researching kitchens and kitchen companies when we finally, after 5 years of planning, built our extension

We wanted to be sure that research and the wait was worth it and we came across Joshua Donald Kitchens

We knew after less than 5 minutes of talking to Don that this is who we were going to work with.

All the kitchen companies we talked to just wanted to sell us as many kitchen units as they could fit in. They were also trying to get us to buy the most expensive kitchen units even though they didn't really know what we wanted, needed or liked. They just tried to persuade us that the units they were suggesting would be ideal

Don was completely different.

He explained that the units themselves are not what provides the wow factor, its a combination of a lot of things working together that will deliver what we are looking for - the lighting, the finishes, building the units into a space rather than having them with space above and the ceiling profile - the design of the whole space has to work in harmony

He then talked us through how he could make the space work really well with the kitchen units being just a part of this and certainly do not need to be the top of the range.

We explained that the builders were unable to fit the RSJ flush into the ceiling because it would have destroyed the bathroom above, so we had to have it drop into the kitchen ceiling and we were upset about that. He then designed a dropped ceiling feature above the Island so that detracted focus from the beam - this was a huge success

My wife was concerned that she didn't have a window to look out of when at the sink and he suggested a huge smoked mirror as the splash-back to overcome this - brilliant!

My wife also wanted to have a space where a lot of items could be hidden away easily and yet remained functional. Together we agreed on a larder unit where all of our breakfast ingredients would be kept, along with the the toaster, coffee machine and sandwich making items.

Don suggested full length open and slide doors and the space was created which is a MASSIVE success because all the items which normally clutter the worktop are hidden away, yet easy to access and use

After the overall design was agreed, only then did we look at the units, what internals we needed and agreed the fine detail

The kitchen looks amazing, is a huge success, easy to use and Don is always very helpful should we need anything

I would recommend Don to anyone - and have done many times, all of whom have used him and have been very pleased with their kitchens

Don’t bother looking elsewhere . Dons design ideas , professionalism , attention to detail , customer care and prices just can’t be beaten in my opinion .

The same can be said for his fitters too . The quality of the kitchen units and appliances is top class too . No rubbish fixtures and fittings like we experienced in previous kitchens we had .

We used Don for our new kitchen in our house when we had a rear extension built and since then I have been recommending him to many other friends and family and clients of mine who develop properties and no one has come back with a negative experience at all . In fact , I get regular calls to say how pleased they have been with Don which is great as sometimes recommending anyone can back fire .
I’m so glad Don was recommended to me by a family member and I will carry on recommending him .
So pleased with our kitchen and have loved spending so much time in it lately what with lockdown etc ! 😊

Having spent time visiting all the usual corporate kitchen companies and receiving multiple quotes and designs we decided to visit Joshua Donald Kitchens in Dunstable.
From the initial familiarisation visit, through to design and install the service provided and attention to detail was nothing but first class.
We are so so happy with our kitchen and can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so we can finally entertain friends and family and of course show off our luxury kitchen!!
