Utterly Appalling customer service from LG. I would give them less than one star if i could. Our new washing machine flooded our kitchen twice within six weeks. LG denied the warranty based on a completely false engineers report claiming user error. Then tried to charge us for a new drum in the machine. A second LG engineer admitted he didn’t know what was wrong but found none of the first engineers points to be correct, proving the first report was completely false. Despite this, LG refused to replace the machine or accept any liability for potential damage to our property, simply stating that we should run the machine with towels around it. We were forced to buy a new machine, not LG I might add, to ensure we could wash our clothes at home. Incredibly poor handling, dismissive responses, and zero accountability. We have reported the case to the FSO to see if we can get resolution to this matter through arbitration. Avoid them unless you want an appalling level of customer service. I will never buy another LG product of any kind again or recommend them to anyone, in fact quite the opposite.

Terrible Product & Even Worse Customer Service Avoid LG!

I purchased the LG WT1210BBTN1 12kg/10kg 1400rpm WashTower four moths ago just under £2000, it has been faulty longer than it has actually worked. Despite being under warranty, the customer service experience has been awful. It took weeks just to get an engineer out to assess the issue, and now I’m being told it will take another three weeks just to get the part needed for the repair! One of the engineers, out of the three concluded the repairs were too great for such a new machine and thus needed to be replaced.

For a brand new appliance, this is completely unacceptable. Replacing a pump and replacing a jockey wheel within four months of a new machine is absurd! Given how new it is and the amount of money spent, LG should be replacing it, not making me wait over a month for a fix.

The lack of urgency and poor customer service have been beyond frustrating. I expected better from a major brand, but this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

I would not recommend LG to anyone, save yourself the hassle, and go with a different brand!

Life is good WITHOUT LG. Absolutely terrible experience with LG. My LG fridge freezer suffered a compressor failure, which is a known issue with LG appliances (as seen in multiple class-action lawsuits in the USA). Despite the compressor being under warranty, LG refused to repair or provide a proper replacement. Instead, they offered me a depreciated settlement that doesn’t even cover the cost of buying a similar fridge.

I’ve spent weeks going back and forth, only to be told they cannot fix the fridge or offer a suitable alternative. Their customer service is unhelpful, and they refuse to take responsibility for a faulty product they manufactured. Now, I am left with no working fridge and have had to waste money on spoiled food.

If you’re considering buying an LG appliance, think twice! Their warranties are meaningless, and their service is appalling. Avoid LG at all costs!

The reason why I've contacted yourself is because I've had a issue with a LG washing I purchased and from the third use I noticed a small leak below the drum seal and may have been sooner but I wasn't had home when washing was on.

I followed the correct process in contacting the store I bought it from and advised to contact LG customer service, followed the steps of cleaning, no luck  and they sent a engineer who moved the seal spring and advised should be fixed.

Issue not fixed and another engineer attended and advised faulty seal.

I contacted customer service 2 weeks later and told part is on order.

I called 5 weeks later after visit and told seal cancelled due to senior engineer said overloading is the issue and now chargeable.

I'm now waiting on evidence of overloading.

I feel my case has not been dealt with in a professional way or even taken seriously and this has caused unnecessary stress.

Generally happy with the products that work, my 1 star is not even for the fact that my brand new soundbar already has an issue, but entirely for the customer service, or lack thereof.

It is clearly outsourced to an Asian country, not sure which, and my guess is that the communication barriers with uk departments contribute to the terrible customer service. You get a different answer to your issues every time you call.

I have a new £1000 LG soundbar that doesn’t pair with my brand new OLED LG TV. After many calls and failed attempts at fixing it with resets, over many weeks, they finally agreed to pick it up for repair. After calling for a progress report about a week later, I was told to call a third party company, however, they had no knowledge whatsoever of my issues and no record of my device. After going back to LG, someone else told me that LG had had it all along and had repaired the Bluetooth module. A week or so later I called back for a delivery update, to be told it would be within a week. 2 weeks later, I’m told by someone else that they can’t give a delivery estimate, and it would arrive when it arrives.

We are now approaching 6 weeks without the device, (it’s been repaired for about a month) an I have no idea when I’m getting it back. I have probably made around 10 calls to LG about this in total and have got nowhere.

I know that the products are competitively priced, but this is why. They have clearly cut back on customer service, when I look back at how Sony dealt with a minor issue I had, there was no comparison. I’d strongly avoid LG in future and very much regret giving them a try.

I had a terrible experience with LG Electronics UK. They charged me £100 for a wall-mounting service that they were unable to carry out. Despite their failure to deliver the service, they are now refusing to refund the amount which contradicts the principles of fair customer service.
This level of service is completely unacceptable. Their customer support has been shockingly poor, offering no meaningful resolution. I would strongly advise others to reconsider using their additional services.

IF YOU LIVE IN NORTHERN DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS
Needed a replacement remote control for my LG Smart TV. Curry's didn't want to know as the TV was out of guarantee. Got in touch with LG uk and found that they were in stock. Went to order one and they completely refused to send it to me as I live in Northern Ireland. They are happy to sell their products in Northern Ireland through Curry's, Harvey Norman, Euronics, Argos and independent retailers. If you live in Northern Ireland do not buy LG products!!
Also, have a look at their Trustpilot ratings. They don't give a toss.

Absolutely Appalling Quality and Customer Service!

I purchased a brand-new LG washer dryer in April 2024, expecting a premium product given the price. However, within just five months, the machine started leaking due to a hole in the inner tub. This serious defect caused significant water damage to items in my garage.

When I reported the issue, LG took a week to send an engineer, who confirmed the fault. Shockingly, despite the machine being under warranty and clearly defective, LG refused to provide a replacement. Instead, they insisted on a repair, which is unacceptable for a premium appliance that is practically new.

I expected better quality and customer service from a brand like LG, especially when dealing with such a major fault. It’s extremely disappointing that LG does not stand behind their products or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would NOT recommend LG to anyone, and I regret my decision to buy their product.
