Following an automatic Windows 10 update when I shut-down my desktop HP PC on Monday afternoon, 15 January 2024, I was unable to turn it back on the following day. Just a black screen. I knew the Samsung PC monitor was OK. I Googled "black screen following automatic Windows 10 update" & performed all the routines suggested, basically repeated power-downs holding the power button down for 30 sec. The monitor wouldn't even display the HP logo or go into fault-finding or safe mode. By Thursday, I knew I needed assistance & rang Lymington Computer Repairs. I spoke to Matt, who told me to bring the PC in to him later that afternoon, which I did & left it with him. Less than an hour later, he rang to say to PC was now working OK & loading Windows. So, fault unknown. Maybe it just wanted a trip out of the house :-). Maybe unplugging & plugging-in all the leads had fixed it. I collected my PC that afternoon. Matt would not accept any money. It is now Saturday & PC working as it was prior to the update. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt & Lymington Computer Repairs & will certainly use him again with any future issues I am unable to resolve. Thanks again, Peter
