I rebuilt my Defender's engine in 2019 after it had done just over 150,000 miles. These are some of the parts I removed. The vehicle was built in 2008 when Ford still owned Land Rover so the engine is from a Transit. Neither Land Rover nor Ford sell engine parts, just complete engines, so I bought the replacement parts from Lymm Engine Components. The kit they sent me also included cylinder head bolts but I forgot to include them in the picture. It also included a head gasket but it looks like the original disappeared some time ago. The engine has been running well since the rebuild so I recycled the parts shown in the picture today. Without companies like Lymm Engine Components it would not be possible to undertake a rebuild like this on a DIY basis.

Terrible company.
Ordered parts and told they should arrive next day. Didn’t arrive, so called to ask for a tracking number, no call back.
Called again, no call back. Finally I called again to be told they hadn’t even been sent.
My mobile mechanic had me booked in to fit them and I’ve now been charged a cancellation charge of £40.
I told them this and they said nothing they can do.
Cancelled order and ordered from a reputable company that actually do what they say.
If you need parts quickly, don’t bother.

I ordered a PD camshaft kit from these guys, good price, picture clearly showing exactly what I need, so I place the order having seen that they have sold a fair few of these kits recently.

I get a message from them straight away saying that the item does not come as listed or as in the pictures , but doesn’t have a camshaft included with it .

I ain’t gonna sit here and vent any anger of this, but this review is just a little note to think first to check their feedback before using this company on eBay.

To list an item wrong is something that can happen to anyone, but to keep it listed knowing it is incorrect is at best misleading.

They seem to have answer for everything these guys, I would have left bad feedback on eBay but they took that option away by refunding me.

Anyway, just a little warning for anyone wanting an honest review of how things have gone for me anyway, I am sure they get it right sometimes too.

As a side note, it seems from the feedback that listing poor quality parts as being top rated branded items is something they are into , the feedback on here suggests the same.

For a company the brags how they are a big company which prides itself on providing decent customer service and quality items, I see little to have pride in myself , my dog could do better and she is an idiot!

Pics of messages included so they don’t start replying with bulls*t about any of this.

Not trying to achieve e anything here , just a warning for others to beware.

PS Also, on a side note, my dog says she is going to start a company on eBay specialising in selling the wrong items and delivering poor customer service , she reckons she will be ace, so Lymm Auto Whatever might well be in trouble now as they will have some stiff competition in regards to incompetency!

Very helpful to sort things out when buying...
They don't know too much about the stock they held as I needed advice as to what parts were what, and they didn't know. They offered to find out and get back to me..but they never did
