Liked: Everything was perfect for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The views from the pod were spectacular. The pod was warm and comfortable and had all we needed to make it a lovely stay. The decking area was great to be able to sit and relax. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with suggesting walks and pubs to eat at. Also very helpful information was provided to help navigate the surrounding towns and area. We particularly liked the walk from Watersmeet and the cream tea! The views of the river and trees were stunning.
We booked the private bathroom, which was nice to not have to cart personal toiletries about, everything was spotlessly clean. The shop provides a good selection of essentials and the herb garden was a very nice touch.

Disliked: Nothing, it was perfect

Stunning campsite, very well maintained. The facilities block has a lot of additional extras and plenty of toilets and showers. Even a hairdryer in the women's and mens!
We had a pitch on Rabbits field where we could see the sun set and could see a bit of the sea!!
We managed to walk down to Lynmouth, you need some good walking boots as it's quite a slope down but worth it. Managed to find the route back from Lynton.
With a clear night we could just make out the milky way!
Nice and quiet site. Dog friendly.

Liked: Excellent facilities, clean and modern. Hairdriers, lovely showers, laundrette and dog washing point were a boon. Helpful staff. Quiet campsite. Lovely surroundings. Beautiful countryside.

Disliked: A bit out of the way, no pub near, public transport leaves you with a mile uphill to walk, along a road.

This is the second time we have stayed at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat, the first time was in a tent in the summer and this trip was to stay in one of their static caravans, which was a real treat and a lot more suited to the October weather! The site is fantastic, offering a range of accommodation options and great facilities. It is kept clean, tidy and beautifully presented and the staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The static caravan was really well equipped and ideal for a very comfortable self-catering break. The area around Lynmouth and Lynton is lovely and there is plenty to do, lots of which can be reached by very pleasant off-road walks from the site. We would thoroughly recommend for campers and those after a bit more luxury - you will be well looked after!

The site was great. Well maintained, great views and friendly staff. Our caravan was clean and comfortable. It was lovely to use the hot tub after a day walking. We walked into Lynton, Lynmouth and Watersmeet from the site. The wi-fi didnโ€™t really work but we had good 4G signal. We would definitely go again.

Liked: We liked (a great deal.....) the pitch, the accessibility to our amenities, the hedges between our pitch, the showers toilet block and facilities, the shop and most of all the staff who were as helpful as they were a joy to chat with. Well done!

Disliked: Having to leave!

Liked: Excellent facilities. Clean, modern and spacious toilet/shower block. Grounds immaculate. Superb walks direct from the site. Lovely views out to sea. Large dog walking field that is fenced so the dogs can run off the lead. All staff were smiling and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the North Devon coast and Exmoor. Some spectacular beaches only 30 mins drive away. WiFi was good enough to watch the BBC iPlayer on our TV and steam YouTube.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike at all.

Beautiful, quiet site, we booked a view pitch. Private, with hedges separating pitches, water, elec & grey waste on each. Facilities were amazing & very clean. No noisy kids play area or bar. Friendly and helpful staff, small shop & fantastic walking.
