Great visit this afternoon to the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) base at Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire. Steve was the officer on duty who is a volunteer.

NCI are a voluntary body who help with safety at sea and around the United Kingdom coast, keeping watch and assisting those who might get into difficulties.

Previously unknown to me, this is a registered charity so sure they need support as they do a vital job in watching over us, even if it just a paddle at the waters edge or helping find a lost toddler.

Well worth a visit with the children or grandchildren. Much to be learned from the watchkeepers on duty about safety around our coast. Sandi Starfish safety bracelet is always a favourite and great idea. Self funded charity, leave a donation if you can please.
