So we went to Rob’s studio to record a single after 20 years of inactivity. We had a good song and some nice ideas but not a clue how it would go in the studio. Rob’s setup is fantastic, stress free and enjoyable. No fear of making mistakes he will sort it. Rob’s advice with the arrangements were instrumental (no pun intended!) for the success of the recording. He turned our ideas into a catchy hit which we just can’t stop listening to! He went far beyond what was expected and you can tell He just loves producing and helping out as best as he can. I’ve never walked out a recording studio feeling fully satisfied with how it went. Until I walked out from manor studios Essex yesterday. Thank you so much for your hard work Rob, we will be back recording another song soon, without a doubt!

Having enjoyed practicing at Manor Studio this year, we decided to put down a track with Rob. Absolutely loved it and we are all so chuffed with the song. Rob is so easy to work with and we can’t wait to go back to practice and then record some more tracks later in the year. Thanks Rob, legend ?

I took my daughter to Rob’s studio as required help to put something together for her Spotlight account but didn’t really have.a clue where to begin. Rob couldn’t have been more helpful and guided us as to what he thought would be best. He was great with my daughter making her feel at ease - a complete professional and we came away with a fantastic demo and free advice. I would highly recommend and will certainly be using again.

So after a long time apart me and the band decidedto reform and get some recordings down of some our our material we never got to record.. we talking 10 years, I got recommendation about a studio in braintree so contacted Rob... which we found out also does rehearsal sessions...so we started with this.. what An amazing place , Rob is such a nice guy , very friendly and will make sure you have everything needed plus more for the session.. so we decided to do a day session recording.... I mean wow! What a day, 1 thing I can say is Rob certainly knows his stuff! And is bloody brilliant!. He made the whole process so easy and we came away with an absolutely brilliant finished product.. Rob is the type of person that won't settle for " that will do"... you can really see his passion and he will also put in suggestions for a recording session..I highly recommend manor street studios .. thanks Rob so much.

Since June 2023, I have had several sessions in Rob's studio. I write lyrics and needed a composer and performing musician to bring one of those lyrics to life as a complete recorded song. It went so well, a further song has since been recorded and the plan (well, my plan) is for a couple more songs to follow.

Rob has a knack of being able to tune in to thoughts even when not expressed in "musician" form and is also happy to try out ideas in real time to see if they work in rather than assume they won't.

As others have stated, Rob is a multi-instrumentalist and quite comfortable playing/recording real guitars (acoustic & electric) / bass / drums / keys). He is also a vocalist with a voice that will suit a range of genres. Rob also knows his way around a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).

Hopefully, this doesn't tempt fate but I have no hesitation in recommending Rob to anyone with an idea / half a song who is in need of a composer and/or band to move it forward positively, or is simply in need of a recording studio.

If my experiences are anything to go by, Rob is equally at ease with clients who are experienced & knowledgeable as those who are less so. Anyone concerned about being made to feel small because they aren't as blessed with musical skills need have no worries; I have limited skills on the music side but Rob has been consistently constructive in his approach(es) to the lyrics and fledgling ideas I have brought to him.

BTW, Rob also provides drum lessons (not sure if he offers lessons for other instruments).

Rob made me feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. The studio is amazing and he knows exactly what it is I'm trying to explain when I know I'm probably not making much sense. Even took the time to explain and show me how to set up an artist page for uploading tracks. I will be booking again for hopefully some original work and other projects soon and I hope many more in the future! Thank you Rob.
