My first contact with Marcrist International was a request for advice regarding suitable core drill bits for a difficult material. They responded quickly and the front line staff couldn't have been more helpful. Unfortunately my diamond core drill developed a major fault. This was four years after purchase so when I emailed them I did not expect to be eligible for any warranty claim. However their director Tony Howard got straight back to me and arranged for immediate repair. I had a fully working and serviced drill back within ten days of posting! This is a company that goes far beyond the level of customer care that we often experience in the UK. This is a company that truly stand by their products and are to be commended for this. I contacted Macrist about a core drill I purchased about 3 years ago, as per usual builder I never filled in the guarantee form when I received the item. After about 5 or 6 uses the drill started playing up and I put it in lock up and forgot about it until I needed it again so I like I said I contacted Macrist to send and pay for the repair myself which was what I was happy to do.
So I was surprised when I received a call from Macrist engineer asking what the problem was, I explained and told him how many times I used the drill and was wasn’t asking for a free repair as the guarantee was well expired.
Well within the hour I received a call back from same guy a guy explaining that they where replacing the motor and other bits when I enquired how much this was going to cost me his answer “nothing “ he said it was faulty when it left the factory.
