I attended a weekend course into electronic music production with David and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I’ve always been keen to start producing my own music, however, i didn’t know where to start, and the software looked overwhelming.

David broke everything down into bite sized chunks, with clear explanations, and allowed us to practice what we were learning at a comfortable pace. David was very supportive before, during and after the course.

The setting was in a welcoming, comfortable environment with access to quality refreshments.

David is an incredible production teacher! His passion for synths and Ableton is infectious, and his encouragement towards the music you’re making is genuine and nurturing.

Before I started lessons, I felt like I was completely out of my depth with Ableton, to the point where I was almost too scared to use it, but now, I feel like I can make the music I always wanted to make, and I can navigate Ableton to a degree where I’d actually feel confident helping others out with it! David constantly helped me take my production skills to the next level, but always did so in a way that was at a pace that worked for me.

Every lesson is tailored to what I’m interested in and what I want to learn, but David also throws in some extra bits of knowledge that never fails to get me super hyped to further my Ableton knowledge. He makes you want to go beyond your comfort zone, and honestly, David is the best and most fun teacher you could ask for if you’re wanting to learn the Ableton ropes!

I absolutely love the feeling of being able to sit down at my computer, and know exactly how to create music from scratch, and also stay inspired throughout the process.

David is a big believer of letting inspiration come to you naturally, instead of forcing it, which is a breath of fresh air in a world where it’s assumed you need to be making content/music 24/7.

The course was both fun and extremely informative. We were given an easy to follow, but just deep enough overview of electronic music production over the two days, whilst hanging out in lovely Margate. David is an excellent tutor and host, full of energy and infectious positivity, keeping us supplied with tea and cookies and sharing a mix of knowledge, tips, music history and ideas. I already had some experience with Ableton, but always felt like I was just touching the surface, David's course has opened up new possibilities and enhanced my understanding of just how powerful a tool it can be.

We had 2 online sessions looking at structure and mixing on one of the tracks which was extremely informative and helpful. This also helped me get the others over the line and released.
