Great place to stay. Amazing value. We didn’t know the jacuzzi bath would be in the living room though haha. Plenty of parking on site.

Lovely decor and furniture in the rooms although the dining table in our room wobbled quite a bit. Also the living room lights are very pretty but didn’t provide enough light.

Good sound insulation as the room next to us was having a party and we didn’t hear it until we went outside.

This was such a relaxing, soothing escape for me and my husband. Just what we needed. The place was so luxurious and quiet. Beautiful surroundings with the fields and courtyard. Loved the touches of the lights and christmas trees downstairs. Made it feel so christmassy. ||We loved the underfloor heating and the spaciousness of the place. Although the heating did go off frequently, hence the 4 stars ratuing. The jacuzzi bath was so relaxing and indulgent.||The Housekeepers are wonderful and so kind. One housekeeper offered to let us stay in her room, whilst we figured out how we were going to get back home given the heavy snow and the other housekeeper drove and led the way out of the country roads, onto the main road, so that we could get home safely. We were so touched by this kindness and the goodness shown by these 2 people.||We would love to come back. Such a memorable place.|Thank you :).

Looks are deceiving. Beautifully decorated in an idyllic country setting. But if you don't mind the constant running around, jumping from 6am till 11pm from children who obviously haven't been instilled with any manners or respect for others then you're going to love this place. I understand children play and run but please be mindful of those underneath who have also paid and deserve a peaceful break away. We stayed in Frankel. First night we arrived after 4 hours of travelling we arrived to a leak in the kitchen from the above apartment the caretaker just have us towels and said he would go speak to the people above which he did. Two days later the leak happened again but alot worse dripped all on kitchen counters all over cabinets we rang out of hours and he refused to come out we had to go upstairs and speak to the family ourselves explaining what was happening. Customer service really isn't their priority. We left disappointed and even more exhausted than when we first arrived. I always think surely the reviews can't be that bad for a place who charge so much for people to stay but oh yes they are !! All accurate and mirror image of our stay. Definitely wouldn't go back a break we will never forget but for all the wrong reasons. AVOID

No idea last time it was cleaned, floors not swept, cobwebs everywhere, scum and limescale in the shower, mold came out of the jets in the jacuzzi bath, no tv as app based only but you have to sign in on your own account, bedroom heating didn’t work in either bedroom, flooring come up in the smaller bedroom, light fitting hanging from the ceiling, high ceilings but you can hear people bang around the next floor up and cast iron door handles fell off which could really hurt a small child. A lack of cleanliness or care with the property. Looks great on photos but that’s about it!

Just returned from a 3 night break at Marske Stables and wow you didn’t disappoint us for our 2nd visit this year. The larger apartment was fabulous, and well equipped with beautiful decor throughout. We stayed in woodcutters cottage with a group of friends and can all honestly say we all woke up each morning saying we had the most fantastic sleep in your luxurious four poster beds!
The apartment was so lovely we didn’t want to leave but did venture out to some lovely local pubs for lunch then returned in the evening to enjoy our beautiful cottage to its full. Lovely morning visits from the peacocks too! Lots of local walks surrounded by beautiful countryside! 10/10 for Marske Stables.
We will definately be back very soon..

Things that needed attention last time I stayed here, have still not been fixed. || Some apartments have a card telling you the WiFi code; others do not and you have to turn over the modem and peer at the tiny password numbers on the back in the dim light. The underfloor heating is wonderful as long as prior guests have not been fiddling with the thermostats that are place in each room. There are NO instructions as to how to alter the heating, and repeated attempts at guessing how to do so failed. Net result was that on one occasion we sweltered, and on our last stay we froze!. Pre-guest cleaning is minimal; apartments twice obviously not hoovered (dead spider and leaves in living room) and worktops not cleaned (sticky etc). Bedside lights not adequate to read by; lighting is definitely "mood" themed, but very dim everywhere. || Nowhere to exercise (read wee and poo) your dog. Contrary to pictures on the website, there is no access to Marske estate grounds, no grass at all in Stables area. You have to walk down the rubbly uneven potholed driveway, cross the road and walk your dog up the lane opposite. Now that they are charging £25 per dog per night, they should dedicate a small exercise area with dog poo bin etc. ||It is obvious they are not fixing stuff on a regular basis at all. Card saying "don't open this window, it has a cracked pane of glass" still there three months later; could they not get a glazier in? Others have reported light bulbs missing, drawer handles missing, duct taped areas etc.

We were a family group of six staying at Farriers cottage at Marske Stables. Our visit was from September 29th through to October 3rd
On entering the cottage we all remarked on how warm and inviting it looked. The weather unfortunately was not kind to us for the first three days of our visit, but that did not stop our enjoyment. The cottage had everything we needed. The crockery cupboards and cutlery drawers were well stocked with everything needed for 6 people, and were looking like new.
The bedding and towels were of a high standard, and all rooms were clean and smelt fresh as a daisy. All the floors were spotless, so thank you to the cleaning staff.
We had morning visits from the peacocks. Frederick, Connie and her chick. The first morning I could hear a tapping at the door. I went to see who it was, and there stood Frederick tapping his beak on the glass. He is a real character, and Connie is really ladylike prancing around with her chick by her side at all times.
I mentioned how warm the cottage was. We didn’t realise until going to bed exactly how warm it was. None of us could sleep well, because it was too hot. We did manage to get the temperature down in most rooms, but unfortunately not in my sister’s and brother in-laws bedroom. It actually got up to 26 degrees, which was unbearable for my sister to sleep in. We should have reported it to staff, as I’m sure they would have been able to remedy that problem for us, but we didn’t.
All in all we had a lovely stay at Marske Stables, and would definitely revisit if ever that way again.

Visited for 4 nights in November 24 to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday.
Just WAW , excellent location, stunning room, Sharon and staff so so friendly and welcoming, we were even snowed in !!! And it was extra special to stay there. Looking forward to book our next stay, for a week this time ❤️
