Steve and his team were incredible! As you can see from pictures - before and after shot of the fork. New handle for the spade and both engraved with family initials. Superb craftsmanship.
I inquired about fixing garden tools and the contact & communication were excellent and efficient. Also helped me out by extending opening times to fit my needs which I thought was exceptional customer service. A rare delight.

Thank you very much for making the winding crank/handle for manual access into our garage and so quickly, it is a very professional job and I am extremely pleased with it.

The crank handle fits and works perfectly which was tremendous after having great difficulty measuring the actual size required and now means we can access the garage after problems with the door. Especially after I was unable to buy one from anywhere else.

It was wonderful to visit the Smithy and really enjoyed the guided tour. Great to support a local business and a traditional essential trade. If I require anything in the future or hear of anyone else that does I shall certainly recommend you.

Received very prompt replies when we asked about repair of an old cast iron garden roller with a broken handle. Steve and his dad were both welcoming and informative when we dropped off the roller and discussed the repairs needed. We received an e mail when the roller was ready for collection and we were delighted with the workmanship. I found Mathers of Tibshelf by Googling local blacksmiths on relocating to Derbyshire and Rob invited me to the workshop to discuss my ideas for an iron door canopy. I was blown away by the level of craftsmanship in the various pieces around the yard - all works in progress - and about the story of this family business. Steve was ultra-patient in the back and forth at the design stage and made suggestions which really enhanced my original ideas. When the installation took place I felt completely overwhelmed. The work is beautiful and the final piece has really added something special to this old cottage. Every day I walk through my front door and am so thankful that I found such a great company to work with - true artisans - and very nice people too. I couldn’t be happier and can’t recommend them highly enough.
