Great customer experience from Richard. Explained everything about the car, what my options were etc. before purchasing. When collecting my vehicle Richard had pulled out all the stops to present my new car, had a happy birthday displayed on their presentation screen and fully explained the workings of the car before seeing us off. Would definitely recommend 👍

I bought a 72 plate Merc GLB from Maidstone Mercedes thinking I will get the best car since I am buying from an approved dealer well I was wrong.
I do admit, I did not check the car from outside as it was dark in the night time and I was too excited to have my first nice car.
When we drove back home and saw the car in the morning, the car had big scracthes on both bumbers, three out of 4 trims above the tyres and front bumber had old deep scratches. No service book/information missing from the booklet, no boot cover, no boot retractable trunk and yellow rusty spots on every part of the car. No V5C document shown at the point of sale to prove the number of owners. When I spoke to the sales person and wished to return the car their next working day (as they were closed for 2 days), they were offering me £3000 less for the car but happy to repair some of the cosmetic repair but expect to have some cosmetic damage as its an old car. He offerred to buy an rust remover from amazon and I need to spray it on the car and he said, it will clear all the yellow spots and they are ion from the brake fluid.
He has not given me a date or time when the car will be repaired so I am a bit disappointed and frustrated that I bought this car for £25,895 which is not a cheap price to expect to have cosmetic damages, rusty spots on the car from a Mercedes approved dealers.
I do understand that I bought an old car but I wish they had informed me about the cosmetic damage prior to sale so that I could have made the choice to buy the car/not buy the car and not get caught in their trap.
The sales person informed that every used car we sale and every traders in the country sale the cars with cosmetic damages and none of them are advertised otherwise those car will never be sold. Well I do disagree with this statement as when I part ex my car, I showed him every little scratch and I have bought car from previous dealers and never had this kind of experience.
He actually showed me an old picture on his phone about the scratch they saw on the car and said that it was ment to be sent for repair but they may have missed. None of the scratches were advertised on autotraders or on their website so basically they knew about the scratches and did not inform me when selling it to me and as I collected the car in the night/dark car park, I missed all the scratches on the dumpers/trims.
So just be careful when you are buying the car, checking the car yourself and not trusting anyone.
I had to travel from Birmingham to Maidstone to show them the car and so far not a single person has apologised for the inconvienece I had and has not given me a date when the car will be repaired and said, if I complain, nothing will happen as they only deal with the car with mechanical issues and not cosmetic issues as it is not affecting the function of the car and they do not have to refund the car legally so they will not do it.

This is the second car I have purchased from Richard. He gave me time and space to choose a new vehicle, was proactive in updating me on my order and even managed to find exactly the car I wanted earlier than I was expecting. I collected on a day Richard was not in the office and his colleagues were equally helpful in setting up my new car. I also got to do the drive out of the showroom, which is always a nice touch. I'm sure I'll be back again when the time comes!
