EDIT: Since my review, I've had a response and waited the number of days suggested for my refund. It is in my account and I have to say, I'm really pleased at the customer service involved in this while incident. Thank you for investigating and sorting this out and I have changed my review accordingly.

Original Review:
We went in this weekend and I was overcharged on my sweets. I brought this to the attention of the lady serving and she processed a refund. Well I never received it on my bank card. I have the receipt and the last four digits don't match my card at all. I don't understand how this is possible. She brought up my transaction and my card number will have been attached to it. How was it then transferred somewhere else? That's £10 I will never see again.

This sweet shop had such a friendly and inviting atmosphere and there was a vast selection of sweets on offer. The owner was very kind and cheerful. This shop is definitely a must visit if you’re in Buxton.

Loved the sweets, but attitude and service was appalling. I always visit a MrSimms while on holiday as they have a good selection of sugar free sweets. I visited the Buxton store and when I asked if they were getting any more sugar free sweets in, the woman just grunted that I don't know, they are difficult to get. I then went to pay with card and was advised they prefer cash. I only had Scottish money and she too this, looked at it and then grunted we don't accept this here. There was then ongoing impolite and cheeky comments made. I eventually got my sweets, but will not be returning to the Buxton store.

we saw this magical looking place from down the road and thought we must go and visit. upon entering the premises we were bombarded by the amazing smells and sweetness in the air. Every variety of traditional sweets, everything you could wish for displayed amazingly covering the entire shop. All available by the quarter. we picked a few varieties and all matched expectation. amazing place

What a fantastic team at Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shope! Every visit to Buxton we go in and bring home ALL the goodies. So many joyful colours and flavours, so many vintage style sweets to choose from. My absolute favourite is liquorice in white chocolate and freeze dried raspberry powder ? we love bon bons in our home too... I've got to go back soon we forgot the ginger liquorice squares ? plus there is always a place in our hearts for cola cubes, pips, cola bottles, chocolate mice, millions and so much more ?

Friendly staff, wide selection of sweets, chocolates and drinks including your traditionals (classic British sweets), favourites, imported and seasonal. Have something for everyone and if your not sure what you want just get a selection bag. Lots of variety for those also on a budget or looking for a nice gift.
