We walk the easy Lyn river every year when visiting. It is a firm favourite and a soup or cream teas ifs a must at the cafe (depending on the weather!
I have to disagree with Sonia that the paths are well signposted to the cafe from Lynmouth telling you the distance as well! You can’t go wrong as the cafes on the river and it’s a river walk!
The staff are so lovely as well!

A very nice place to visit. We walk from the road in beautiful nature for about a quarter of an hour's walk and arrive at a cafe in nature, drinking coffee in magical nature. Spending about two hours, but more is possible if you want to do hiking trails.

My second visit here and loved it. So lovely to be able to walk along the river and hear it as it flows down with such an energy about it. In the way back we did the woodland walk which she a different atmosphere on this beautiful place

Beautiful National trust site with cafe in the best setting in the middle of the valley. Hikes around here are strenuous with steep climbs but views are amazing .
Important to note there is no National trust car parking and council car park only accept cash. No app/phone/card payments accepted at car park.

Once we had parked and found the entrance it was easy to find a national trust map board and choose a route down the river and through the woods. Expect to be walking up and down quite a lot on rough paths. We walked all the way to Lynmouth harbour and back following the river. Would definitely recommend this for walkers and family's. The cafe was just in the best spot.

What a treat. Fabulous pit stop for cream tea, and lovely walk. When parking, machine is coins only, so be prepared. And with dogs, keep to footpaths as ticks are quite common!

Absolutely beautiful Hidden gem. 3 to 4 miles walk but definitely it's worth to walking the River side course. There is a pretty cafe in the middle of the course to have a relaxing break.

Lovely place to visit, park at the carpark in Lynmouth by the model railway shop. It's a lovely walk then along the river for 30 to 45 mins depending on how quick you walk. There is also a small waterfall to view.
