We worked with Neck of the Woods to produce a chemical engineering facility tour video and the output was awesome. Really enjoyed exploring new ideas and storytelling angles that we have not considered. Their pitch definitely stood out and we are so glad that we took a chance. NotW are an amazing bunch of people to work with. Every one of them has their own skills that complement each other, which is fascinating to watch unfold. Really enjoyed their collaborative energy and quick turn around times. The detail and thought put in their work is very commendable. We worked with Neck of The Woods to produce a short promotional video, and would have no hesitation in recommending them. We recently collaborated with Neck of the Woods on an animated explainer video about the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), and the experience was exceptional. From start to finish, their team was attentive to our needs and responsive to feedback, while also offering their own innovative ideas and inspirations.

The final product has been very positively received. They managed to convey a complex scientific topic with clarity and style. They used lovely illustration and dynamic animation to create an informative and visually interesting video, demonstrating their exceptional skill and creativity.

Over the past year Turn2us have worked with NOTW Films to produce 14 videos for a new online tool that guides individuals through the personal independence payment process, the ‘Turn2us PIP Helper’.

From the outset the team at NOTW knew exactly what was required and offered suggestions how the films could be produced in terms of lighting, stylistic approach and direction. It was clear they fully understood the brief and knew how to bring the best out of the scripts.

NOTW not only sourced a good selection of actors to consider they also provided the necessary documentation in relation to contractual agreements and managed all communication and bookings, including the location of the studio for the 3-day shoot. This simplified the process immensely for us and allowed our team to focus solely upon the script content and product development.

NOTW are incredibly professional, when we arrived at the studio the team were already in place and setting up the lighting and set – we were also consulted at every stage of the process to ensure we were happy with the set before the actors arrived.

The crew and directors were amazing to work with, they made all the actors feel immediately at ease and were wonderful at bringing out the best in each person involved in the filming. Their days were long but they maintained a positive approach from beginning to end and ensured we had input/approval of takes before wrapping each script. In addition, every actor gave feedback saying how delightful it had been to work with NOTW and commented upon their absolute professionalism.

I cannot praise NOTW enough – they are a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone as one of the most engaged production companies I have ever worked with. Tom the Head of Client Services was always contactable and no question was ever too much trouble for him and Craig the Creative Director is incredibly passionate about what he does and always takes time to create the best vision.

Both I, the Project Manager and Anna/Halide the Product Owners immediately felt a connection with NOTW when we engaged them – they are genuine and really care about the integrity of the work they produce and are an amazing group of people with whom to work.

I approached NOTW to do a promotional film for PLANETS Cancer Charity and immediately knew I was in good hands. From the outset, their communication was impeccable with Tom always responding within a day and as soon as we set up a meeting with the wider team, Craig in particular, we knew that they understood us as a charity and what we wanted to achieve and we felt very comfortable with letting them take the lead on the story telling. They laid out the storyboard and schedule in detail and at every step, all eventualities were covered and everything was planned to the minute which made it very easy for us to prepare and line up the people and venues we needed to make the film come together.

The filming process was enjoyable with the team showing incredible empathy to both the people (patients) involved, the environments we were working in and also to the schedules of the clinical team members we wanted to film, we couldn't have asked for more and as a result, everything went smoothly.

To say we are happy with the outcome is an understatement, the team have totally delivered creating an emotive but positive film that completely captures the essence of PLANETS Cancer Charity and at the event we have used it at so far, got exactly the response we had hoped for, and more!

Robbie's Rehab

Craig and Emma were asked to cover the days building up to a triple marathon event in aid of Robbie's Rehab in the summer of 2020. Despite significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdown, they managed magnificently. They were empathetic with the highly emotive subject-matter of the charity's joint aims of raising money for charity and the legacy of Robbie himself who had formed the charity but not seen its fruition. Their interviews, filming and editing were fast and effective. They were a pleasure to work with and the resulting short film is excellent. Punctual, mobile and client-oriented, I would recommend them without hesitation.
