John helped design and made a fantastic large desk top for an office.

Having come in with a somewhat preexisting idea we were able to collaborate to realise the finished design and John remained very responsive working around my schedule. Through emails and in person meetings/visits we were able to finalise the details and minor additions.

Would highly recommend for any sort of custom woodworking and design.

We commissioned John and his team to make us bespoke walk in wardrobes. The finished (hand made) item has been made to an incredible standard. John has used first class materials and we would highly recommend Otter Handmade for any bespoke furniture.

John has designed, built and installed a new kitchen, utility/larder cabinets, bathroom vanity units, a bookcase and bedroom wardrobes for our refurbished and extended Northumbrian cottage. We are delighted with every aspect of his work.

John first visited site to take a comprehensive brief of our requirements and give helpful and practical advice before preparing high quality plans for our comments. Having agreed the designs he set out detailed estimates which he has worked within, despite escalating material costs. Throughout the build he has been responsive to our enquiries and changing timetables.

The individual design and handmade quality of the work has made a significant contribution to the creation of our new home. We have no hesitation in recommending Otter Handmade.

Finally, a special thank you to Phil for the vanity unit for our guest bathroom. It is a beautifully executed piece of furniture which has made this small bathroom special.

John completely understood what we wanted & spent time discussing & designing exactly what we imagined. John & his colleagues were both friendly & professional.
An unforeseen problem occurred and John & his colleague were brilliant at solving this problem ensuring everything was still finished to a very high standard!

Otter Handmade have just made me some custom units for my sitting room and my craft room. The whole process from beginning to end has been fantastic. John came and chatted through what I wanted and sent me the designs. They fitted them around my dates and were meticulous in making sure everything was just right. Cleaned up afterwards as well.
