Received a delicious custom cake for my birthday. My partner ordered a cake through the owner who not only had the cake made but used a recipe we requested which they don’t normally make. They really went above and beyond for us from the ordering to the delivery nothing was too hard for them. Whole experience was just wonderful and the cake was delicious.

Bakery - 3/5. Great selection, although could offer more pastries & things such as sourdough. The selection is quite ‘bog standard’ as bakeries go. Cakes are generally a bit too sweet. The queueing situation needs revision, as it’s always hectic & you feel as though you’re in the way of staff coming up & down stairs constantly, even when the queue isn’t that busy.
Cafe - 3/5. Good range, average prices. Everything is done to a good standard, but nothing is amazing. Occasionally you’ll find a gem on their regularly rotating specials menu. Overall, staff are very pleasant.
EDIT - Since my initial review I have returned to try the new sourdough. Unfortunately I've had to deduct a star from my initial rating. Their sourdough is dense enough to be mistaken for a rye bread & doesn't have much of a classic sourdough flavour. I've bought & baked many sourdoughs which are far superior. Deeply disappointed, the recipe needs a LOT of work to be suitable for sale.

Had a lovely lunch here today. The full English breakfast was very nice but what made the meal excellent was the service which was extremely polite and professional.

We also had a couple of cakes and they were very nice too. Would definitely like to go back next time we’re in Spalding.

We arrived at noon on a Wednesday and were asked if we had booked a table so I think it gets busy.

Paceys catered an afternoon tea buffet for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier! The service we received from Carl was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and the whole process was stress-free and friendly.

The food was delicious — beautifully presented, fresh, and full of variety. We were truly spoilt for choice, and so many of our guests commented on how amazing everything tasted.

I would highly recommend Paceys for any catering event in the future. Massive thank you to Carl and the whole team for helping make our wedding day so special!

I visited this shop today because I wanted something to have with a cup of tea and was pleasantly surprised by all the options available.
I went for the Crunchy cheesecake and also picked up an Apple Crumble. It's very hard to resist buying more because it all looks so good. The staff were very good and did very well managing the customers. I will return again.

We had a family get together and decided to have lunch at Paceys. We were looked after beautifully by all the Staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had the scampi with home made chunky chips. The pulled port and a cheese and tomato panini: all of which was delicious and excellent. Cakes were to die for. I can’t recommend them enough!
