My butchers of choice. I live in newton abbot, but always shop at this butchers. The staff are great - always friendly and helpful, and their meat is the best. I've tried most of the farm shops in the area (churston farm shop is perhaps comparable - great all round, and Fermoys, though I once had some mouldy black pudding from this one, and it put me off) and palace avenue butchers has been consistently great. Their bacon s tasty and isn't full of water (that really bugs me), their meats are tasty, fresh and tender, their chickens are succulent and their sausages are the best in the area. I've tried so many butchers, here and even visiting places, and none come close for taste and texture (not full of cereal or tough skins). They also vary their sausage recipes, so you may get venison, or lamb recipes etc, depending on the season.

Excellent quality meat, we enjoyed a brace of pheasant at Christmas and some delicious steak. Also lamb's liver. It's a pleasure to shop here, the butchers are so helpful and knowledgeable.

Helpful local butchers, also supply a range of pantry goods.
Always nice to go in and have a small chat when being served. It's fairly priced and better quality than the supermarket.
Staff are very friendly.
Here they take cash or card.

This is a great place to go to buy meat... I've brought alot of food from here from sausages burgers breast of lamb lamb steaks etc.. I've not had anything but great quality... I want to thank the whole team on producing such good quality meat and know that I'd rather shop here than in the supermarket when the quality of meat is so poor. I think all the staff here are great with great knowledge highly recommended A+++

Paul n staff know their shop. He has been trading for many a year, early morning starts do take there toll though!!🤔. He delivers, does trade deliveries and orders. Meat is sourced locally, always a lovely front window display and always willing to help peoples choices in their meat needs.
