I’ve been a long-time customs clearance customer, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I requested a quote for one pallet and waited an entire week with no response. After following up with Ben, he assured me I’d receive the quote within 24 hours—yet another week passed with nothing. When I contacted him again, I was told they were too busy and couldn’t provide a quote, and that I’d have to wait for another salesperson to respond on Monday.
It’s frustrating to be treated as if my business doesn’t matter. If I had requested a quote for a full container or lorry load, I have no doubt I would have received it within an hour. Clearly, smaller customers aren’t a priority. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to take my business elsewhere—somewhere that actually values its customers.
Would not recommend if you’re a small or medium-sized business looking for reliable service.

Almost just caused an accident on the M27 due to horrendous driving. Avoid at all costs. Awful company. Reg WU70 FPJ. Teach your drivers how to drive before they kill someone

Appalling experience during our time with them between 2021/22. They were entirely indifferent to my company’s needs, and their packing of our products was slipshod and often wrapped with only one layer of flimsy pallet wrap which on arrival invariably had come apart with cases of stock missing having evidently fallen off in transit while others were crushed due to carelessness in the packing (see photos).

In all, my business lost at least a couple of thousand pounds during our year of storing our products at Peter Green Chilled taking damaged goods and the time spent repacking crushed cardboard cases and cases that had been allowed to grow mildew while in their storage into account along with the cost of the replacement packing materials.

The disregard of Colin Girdler and Malcolm Gold in particular to my complaints - and their downright refusal to accept any responsibility for the damage their company inflicted on my stock - was highly and grossly unprofessional bordering on negligence and I have photographs showing the appalling state some of my pallets arrived at our warehouse that would horrify anyone considering using this company for their storage.

It’s only because my business has been so busy these past 12 months since we left Peter Green that I haven’t had time to file a claim for the above damages at my County Court, but that will come. In the meantime we have now been with our present chilled storage facility in Peterborough for 13 months and our experience has been trauma-free and smooth as butter compared to our year of hell at Peter Green.

Office staff often rude and dismissive. Can take a while to tip. Very rigid around warehouse opening times and can be quite rigid about booking times. Pretty poor showing from a haulage company. They share the site with Eurolait but apparently have no communication with them which seems pretty ridiculous to me as well. Honestly, I don't like dealing with this company.
