Great coffee and snack was partaken in the cafe, there is also a supermarket providing an abundance of locally produced excellent food. A great way to support our farmers.

We got some cumberland sausage swirls buns. When we were having a proper look around town and it's shops the other day and we were both a bite hungry. The shop it's quite small. But great quality for your money. It was delicious.

I was visiting Carlisle yesterday for the first time and popped in here for a pie for my tea when I got home. What a great pie it was, a small chicken pie, probably the best pie at this price point I have ever had. Served by a lovely young lady who was patient whilst I made up my mind. I will need to visit Carlisle again and buy some for freezing for later use.

My daughter has just come back from a few days away, our present was haggis, Cumberland sausage, Stornaway black pudding and a couple of soda scones, simply the best present, absolutely gorgeous. Wish we lived closer I would make you our butchers. Hope she gets up your way again soon.

It looks like a nice small shop, lots of things to buy and friendly stuff. But the meat in sausages and pies is very low quality. Almost impossible to eat, I will definitely not buy again. Other family members think the same. The chicken breasts bought there were ok.

Just had the Haggis Truffles that we bought from here a couple of weeks ago while on holiday in the area. We froze them and defrosted before cooking in the tin provided. . They were absolutely delicious, very rich and very filling. Still got the Stornoway Stacks in the freezer and looking forward to trying them soon. ?

Nice to have the city centre Pioneer open again. They have a one-way system in place obviously. One person serving take away, one cooked food and one raw food. Markers on the floor and queuing signs outside, although thankfully I didn't have to queue today

The ham on the bone (off the bone!?!?) beats anything I've had in London, Wiltshire, Yorkshire......ANYWHERE. Cheaper than its neighbour Cranston's and friendlier staff.
Beautiful lamb too.
