Writing this review after having sent a complaints form - Unfortunately haven't received a response.

I took part in the singing short course after seeing their website and being impressed by the tutors listed and their seeming prestige. It was however clear to me that they do not value their short course students - our final performance was moved to a canteen in a different campus with lacking equipment (not even a mix desk for the microphones...) last minute, which was disappointing.

The tutor, although it wasn't anyone who was advertised on the website, was lovely to work with and their teaching was not something to put down - I do think there was some value in getting feedback for your vocals every lesson, however I do not think the overall course matches its price range. It felt more like a weekly singing group get-together.

I do feel like I was treated as an easy money grab. I would recommend other avenues to get your vocal lessons, such as private tutors, who would most likely come out cheaper than getting taught here.

About the short singing course ( Saturdays ) Don’t waste your money! Lots of marketing and poor quality!!

Leaving this review after opening a complaint form and being completely ignored buy the school.

The course itself has a lot of room for improvement. The course was almost three months long, with very little focus on vocal technique. We only learned about performance.

Every Saturday we studied a musical genre and sang a song for the teacher. After that, we received feedback on how the performance went, but we were never taught about singing techniques or improvements, solely about performance. Consequently, the feedback was always the same since we didn't learn anything about vocal technique.

I waited until the course ended to see if anything would change, but we continued like this throughout the entire period with no change.

A week before the course ended and we presented our final performance, we were informed that the presentation would be at another venue, because on the day of our presentation the school would use the stage for an open day.

We didn't argue because it had already been decided, but we’d rehearsed on stage for almost 10 weeks and then sang in the cafeteria of another school.

So my question is, did the school not know that there was a singing class finishing that week and would be performing for friends and family, or was the open day planned at the last minute?

In addition, when we arrived on the day of the presentation, it was clear that the “sound engineer” was unenthusiastic about his work. He clearly was there because he had to be. They organised everything at the last minute, and when we asked him if he could put a mixer for the microphones, his answer was: Too late for that, sorry!

In the middle of the presentation, they had to stop because the audio and video system was not working properly, something with the microphones/cable, clearly due to a lack of prior preparation. All the students put a lot of work into the performance, and the seeming lack of care at the final hurdle was very disheartening.

In the end, we finished the module without knowing if there would be another module after this one. There was no mention of continuing the course, and we were very dissatisfied with the experience we had.

We have a WhatsApp group and I will mention some of the comments of the students who took the course with me:

We should all get refunds
Not a cheap course from them to be so careless with current students
It was a glorified Karaoke session every Saturday
That’s why I stopped coming, I didn’t want to pay for the rest of the course.
It wasn’t the lecture they showed on their website.

Before the course was over, some people dropped out and those who finished left the school with no motivation to continue. The deadline for our grades on the student page is over and so far there’s nothing in there. The school could easily support 8 students studying for the next few months, but that’s not what happened.

I have been in their online program for three classes now and it is AMAZING. They are super helpful and resourceful when it comes to mental health as well as academic resources. They are really understanding of life circumstances and willing to make accommodations with assignments. I'm definitely excited to continue my education with them. 🖤

Recently completed my master diploma from Point Blank. It was a great experience! The content on VLE was great and the lecturers were super supportive. After 8 courses, definitely got what I was looking for when I started the course. Highly recommend PB!

I would rate Point Blank 1000 out of 10 if possible and for many different reasons that I could be here all day and night explaining. The facilities, the students, the staff and the creativity and professionalism flowing through both of the buidings is absolutely phenomenal.

Point Blank to me is so important and beneficial to my overall mind state and career guidance that after studying with them for 6 months I went back the next year to study a 3 year degree which I am now a year and a half into and absolutely loving it.

Since then they have boosted me to platforms I couldn't even imagine. I recently won a competition with Point Blank & Pioneer and now they have sent / sending me to IMS Ibiza to support for Seth Troxler and Flashmob, DJ Mag live streams, Amsterdam dance event and so much more! You can follow my story at @ambianmusic on all platforms.

I couldn't imagine how my life and career would be with out the very friendly people at Point Blank to help and guide me in the right direction every single time.

If you have a strong passion and determination for music and are thinking about attending this school, DO IT! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

I graduated from Point Blank last year following my degree in sound engineering & music production. As the graduation was rushed for some reason, I had not even got my results when I had graduated, and I have not even received a certificate confirming my graduation, even after I had first sent an email about this last July to which I received no response. After also speaking to other students on my course, I have realised none of us have been sent these.

To be frank, my time at Point Blank was majority terrible, and i've spoken to others who feel same. To work so hard and pay the fees we do to attend this university, to then getting little to no support the entire time and then not once been able to speak someone about my future following graduation is shocking and very disappointing. Then to not even receive my graduation certificate and have no one contact me about it, is absolutely mind blowing. The curriculum and facilities are obviously a level up from the support you get there, but even that had major flaws. Ridiculous studio booking systems, a poorly designed VLE, inconsistently working equipment the list goes on. My experience with lecturers however was more a positive one.

I'm not sure exactly how Point Blank think they treat their students, but it's definitely not right how they do, and when anyone asks me about Point Blank, I strongly don't recommend it to people due to the heart break I felt studying there. It was my dream to come and study there, to be in London, and on reflection, It was nothing how I expected, such a let down.

I took the Music Production and Sound Engineering diploma at Point Blank and it was an incredible experience. I was lucky to land somewhere with such good electronic music credentials. I can’t speak highly enough of all the tutors, who had years of music industry experience and were inspiring as well as supportive. Also the tech staff who went to great lengths to help me out in the studio with my own projects. Like any experience you get out what you put in - and if you’re really driven to learn about electronic music production Point Blank pays back many times over - since leaving I have had a successful start in music thanks to their advice and encouragement.

Wouldn’t class as a university despite doing 3 years of degree work there.

No support whatsoever for students of any capacity. Staff are rude, give false information and made every term a living hell.

Would not recommend, don’t listen to the hype. If they spent less advertising and building new campuses round the world they might focus on their London branch!
