Amazing when lit up at Christmas. Great walk around the harbour and a new Christmas tradition. We loved seeing the effort that had gone into lighting up the boats. It was a really magical sight and we always finish the evening off with a drink and meal at one of the many restaurants near by. Thanks to all involved.

Absolutely brilliant, worthwhile visiting by all means unique walks virtually trough the harbour itself. It is a real shame that ferries are no longer sailing to Oostende Belgium. This used to be second busiest passengers port in the country and truckers favourite route, not long ago!

At the time of writing this the Lights on both of the Starboard buoys not working and apparently haven’t been for months, there is no confirmed date to when they will be fixed. It’s very Disappointing that these navigation aids are not being maintained making night approaches to the port more difficult and dangerous than it needs to be.

The rest of the port is pleasant with a good view.

For visitors Ramsgate port offers visitors fishing trips and excursions to see local sea wildlife, including seals. The port is surrounded by lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a great visit in the sunshine, not overcrowded like some seafront towns as the train station is not close to the port. The port offers good marina services for any boat owners, a life on a boat in this port seems quite appealing!

Beautiful harbour, sandwiched between the town and the beach. Plenty of good restaurants and pubs, from the quirky Belgian Bar to the mainstream Wetherspoons (their largest in the country). With the marina packed with yachts, it looks more continental than English seaside resort.
