Visited with a friend and was greeted with the most warm and friendly service! The place is quaint and very thoughtfully designed, making you feel right at home. We ordered a slice of lemon Victoria cake and hot chocolates, and the cake was moist and scrumptious!

We accidentally overstayed past the closing time because the gentleman was too kind and didn’t want to disturb us! We will definitely be coming again ❤️

Just wow! I have been meaning to visit this place for a while as so many people have recommended it to me. My visit exceeded all expectations; greeted with the friendliest smile, welcomed in and shown to a table. The whole place is beautiful with a lovely outdoor area, spacious seated indoor area and a conservatory. What makes this place unique and very special is the cake shop part and being able to see the cakes being made too!
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was next level. Thank you Putty Cakes, I will definitely be back!

We chose the company to make our wedding cake after meeting Gavin at a wedding fair. He was friendly, engaging and happy to help with our request.
We had a tasting session where we tried multiple samples, of which all were delicious 😋 and we left high off sugar, half a stone heavier and confident that Putty Cakes were the right choice.
The final result was fantastic with many of our guests praising both the appearance and taste.
We would definitely recommend these guys: amazing company, great communication keeping us updated at every turn, friendly owners and, of course, the cakes are super delicious. Thank you very much 🤵🏻‍♂️👰🍰🥂

I couldn't have had a more perfect wedding 'cake', thanks to Puttycakes. Gavin and Anita were so responsive to questions/requests and went out of their way to make it exactly what I hoped for.

I provided a rough idea with what I wanted and they got it absolutely perfect. Due to dietary restrictions I couldn't have a standard wedding cake and opted for something different. I never felt like it was a problem at all and I was asked questions around the details to make sure they got it just right.

Then it was delivered when I requested so it was ready and waiting, looking beautiful, for when we came into the room to have our wedding breakfast.

Superb cakes by award winning chef Gavin. Served in a friendly and proficient manner with great tea and coffee in a quaint, shady rear garden. Glad to be able to make use of our first bit of goo weather although there is plenty of indoor seating including a function room. Can’t wait to try lunch there.

I went in with an idea of what I wanted for my Mum's 90th birthday cake and after giving a few details of what she was like, had the most fantastic cake made. It had to be gluten and dairy free but everyone agreed that it tasted lovely (many gluten free cakes do not!!) Thank you so much and we will be back for other family birthdays. The info I gave was that she spent most of the days knitting, using baby blue and pink!

We used Putty Cakes for our wedding as we wanted to use a local baker and after viewing their web site pictures, they were the one for us. After visiting the shop and communicating our thoughts and showing a picture of a cake we wanted. Gavin got his magic mind & hands to work, and wow were we very surprised with the result, the cake we more then we have expected. All our guest said what a lovely cake and the taste was delicious. Not only did Gavin make a wonderful, unusual wedding cake, he also made Gluten and dairy free cakes for us. We would recommend Putty Cake 100%.
