Amazing place to visit! We took family from America as his dad serves in the US airforce based at Burtonwood and it was fascinating all the information that was there and Neil who works there was so lovely and informative. It’s a shame the council didn’t preserve some of the history of RAF Burtonwood but we are so glad the heritage centre is there!

Absolutely brilliant. Please support this lovely little museum. Staff are Friendly and knowledgeable. Little gift shop and facilities. Free entry (donations accepted). Make sure you take cash as the don't have a card machine. As it is in the car park of Gullivers World, it's open when they are. Opening time is 2.30.

Quite a lot to see and very informative. My autistic son absolutely loves planes, and there were so many bits of planes and engines for him to look at. Shame we couldn't see inside the plane cockpit today. I definitely would like to come again and see the bits we missed.

This is a lovely place, quite small in size but packed with lots of artifacts covering the period of time the area was a base for American service men (technicians, not pilots) during ww2 & beyond. If you wish to go do check their opening times beforehand as the opening times are quite short but for those interested in where ww2 aircraft were repaired & maintained and how the locals interacted with Americans based in England this place is very informative as are the staff.

A very interesting place to visit, and all that's left of what once was the biggest airbase in Europe. It is not a very big centre but the audio visual presentation is well worth seeing and there is a reasonable amount of artifacts to see. The staff member we spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly. It's not open every day, and not until 2pm, so check before you go.

An incredible tribute to the history of RAF Burtonwood and the USAAF during WWII and beginning of the Cold War in the 1950’s. The Centre is packed with memorabilia and the displays have been put together with expertise, care, and attention to detail. The volunteer guides are helpful and knowledgeable. The 12 minute introductory film is a must-see to start your visit. My friend and I spent an afternoon at the Centre as we have an interest in specific people and planes associated with Burtonwood, however it is a treasure for anyone interested in local history of Warrington or WWII action. Well worth a visit.
