There are many other options around East London, if you want somewhere trustworthy this might not be the place. They misheard and put in the wrong order, when I called to check said they were too busy and will call back, never did so I called again, only to hear 'it is what it is'. Went back in the store for a refund, and instead of an apology the reception guy said 'it happens sometimes'... I don't know if this is a common thing but if you're too busy to get a simple film development order right.. or at least handle mistakes better, I'm not sure if it's a right way to run a business. I never wrote a bad review before (especially try to be understanding with small businesses) but it's sad to see their way of treating customers.

Yeah, I did ask for a 2-3 day by the way. The fact that the staff mis-heard and put in 7 day and didn’t even bother to acknowledge their mistake is not really ideal.
Mistakes do happen, I understand, but please in the future just own it and move on. Don’t need to try come up with excuses.

I come here on a near weekly basis as it’s a lovely place with kind, professional staff who are happy to answer any questions or point you in the right direction if needs be. I’ve found that they take great care with your film and there’s a wonderful selection of zines and photobooks on offer, too!

This review is about 14 months overdue. My wife & I visited London from the US in September 2022. Given the real possibility of having my exposed HP-5 ruined when passing through Heathrow security, I dropped off my film the day before we departed London. They processed my film and shipped it to the US. No glitches, screw-ups or lost film. Excellent job. Good staff. Great street food at the end of Leonard Street.

Finally used RapidEye a few weeks ago for the first time, after hearing amazing things about them for years (London has a strong collection of great labs, so it just took a few years to come around to trying them). Met the owners/founder, and was treated to a full tour of the facilities plus some great chats with some of the team.

Dev and scan quality was ace, of course — next up, printing!

It's unfortunate that I have to review this photo lab at 1 star, however, it needs to be done for their own benefit as to reflect on their service.

Basically, something went wrong with their dip and dunk machine and my b&w films were ruined beyond any recovery - came out very very faint. Rapid eye refunded me for their mess up, provided me free film, but unfortunately there is no way to recover images that are lost. It's a shame and I am really upset by it.

Will I go there again? Probably not, as I just don't know if I trust them, but I wish them luck with the business and hope for their own sake it never happens again. I hope their "success rate" goes to 100%
