This was our second visit to Rockvale, but it won't be our last. Nessa and Phil are superb hosts and it's clear to see they love what they do. Their hospitality is second to none. The food is excellent. We took advantage of the evening meal menu for all three nights and it did not disappoint. The choices were varied, and excellent value. Nessa has a great knowledge of food and is an superb cook. The dinners were delicious, everything homemade. The breakfasts too were plentiful, homemade bread and delicious marmalade. Phil was a great host, nothing was too much trouble for him. The rooms are lovely too and spotlessly clean, wonderful views of Lynton. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Nessa and Phil.

Excellent B and B. Phil and Ness were perfect hosts. So friendly and gave plenty of recommendations on places to eat and different walks. Breakfast was superb everything very tasty and cooked to perfection. We ate at Restaurant Kensington, the Oak Room and The Cottage Inn (Thai). All very good. We will definitely return.

Had the most amazing stay this weekend. The most fabulous, attentive hosts who cannot do enough for you. Beautiful b n b, stunning bedroom with the most incredible view (and the worlds comfiest bed). We had a super yummy breakfast included which consisted of Homemade breads, homemade marmalade and homemade muesli which just adds those extra personal touches. Our hosts were truly delightful and we would not think twice about staying again 🥰🤩

Just had our second visit to Rockvale House . If it was possible after our September last year visit this was even more special. Ness is such a fantastic cook having as much as possible homemade . Spoilt for choice every day . The evening meals were fine dining indeed . Only available in February and March . Phil is a supurb host with his humour and attention to detail second to none . GREAT B&B! The hosts were gracious, attentive, personable, and fun. Their homemade breakfasts were delicious. Our room was very comfortable: good bed/pillows, and a nice size with table and chairs for a snack. Our room had a lovely view of the town below and sheep on the hillside. Lynton is a very walkable town with lots of shops, good restaurants, great little laundry, and a hiking trail very close to Rockville House.

Excellent guest house. Safe, off road parking. Decent sized rooms. No detail overlooked.
Perfect service from the hosts, Ness and Phil. Lovely homemade and home cooked breakfasts.

Lovely place for a visit. Really friendly owners Ness and Phil, relaxed, engaging and helpful. Excellent breakfast inc home made jams/marmalade. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Close to restaurants (several with in 5min walk). Highly recommended.

Rockvale House is perfectly run by Ness and Phil who couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. The property is spotlessly clean though the decor is a little dated. Fresh milk was available in the guest fridge. The TV was on Freestst but WiFi was very good so you can watch all your Netflix etc on personal devices. We didn’t use the bar or communal facilities but we were very welcome to do so. You need to pre-order breakfast and the time you wish to eat which sets you up for the day beautifully. The breakfast was all homemade and outstanding. Hollandaise, bread, jam all fresh, homemade and beautifully presented.
