Hired two bikes for the day to ride around Rutland Water with my children. The staff were brilliant at helping to set the bikes up and ensure they were comfortable. They gave us a map and a phone number we could call in case of any problems. Awesome day with my kids with a delicious meal at The Jockey half way round. Will definitely be doing this again (when I have recovered from today 😝)

Excellent friendly and helpful service from manager and all staff team.
Helped on my bike ride by charging my ebike.
My helmet needed updating, they helped me choose and fit a new Specialized Camber helmet.
Also Sadie made me a lovely coffee.
Particular thanks to Ricky the Manager, Sadie and Jose, and the rest of the team.

Beware – price matching at this store is ambiguous. Tried a nice Specialised Sirrus X 5.0 in store around 4 weeks ago. Served by an excellent member of staff who told me that they price match. So I phoned again a few days ago to check that the bike was still there and do they price match – yes was the answer. So off we went (3 hour drive there and back) to try the bike a last time with view to purchase. Still liked it, and front desk staff member was excellent. So we proceeded to invoke the price matching promise. Found a couple of examples online (in stock and same colour). But the decision on whether to honour the promise rested with a faceless manager at the end of a phone who said no to the assistant “because it is a rare bike”. What a disappointment. Have now obtained the bike for the lower price elsewhere (another specialised dealer). Front desk staff 10/10. Hiding manager who did not have the decency to speak to me or negotiate 0/10. I wanted to support this store and bought a helmet and pump from them, but this is my last visit. A lose-lose situation (their bike not sold and waste of our time). Constructive suggestion to manager – make it clear on your website whether you offer price matching and whether it depends on your discretion/whim on the day, and train your staff with clearer instruction on exatly what price matching means. Thank you.

Fantastic service on our first time hiring bikes here. Could not have asked for more. Puncture half way round was sorted with a swift visit to swap the bike over when we were just 5km from finishing!!! Excellent value for money.

Excellent service from the team in purchasing a new child’s bike. Went over and above in sourcing the right bike (without trying to overtly “upsell”) and remembered us instantly when we brought the bike back in some weeks later for a check over. This was done in 15 mins by the excellent Jem. Great customer service from the whole team there.

A really wonderfully rejuvenating experience, fantastic views, whether you want to see some beautiful nature, take a break and make yourself feel good or push yourself the bike ride is completely worth it. 23 miles around nature, definitely will be back.
