This is a fantastic place, too much to explore in 1 day so will have to return. We went to the bird watching centre and there are so many walks and hides it's amazing. The thing I wanted to know that I couldn't find anywhere prior to visiting was if binoculars could be hired as i had forgot mine and thankfully they do hire them out so that made my day. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit for nature lovers and twitchers experienced or not.

Wonderful bird watching. A bit too sanitised and regulated and the car park pricing is just silly.

I visited the Rutland Water Nature Reserve with my husband - we both love Rutland Natural Reserve! It's a beautiful open place with lots of bird hides and an abundance of birdlife!

When I visited, there were black turns, marsh harriers, avocets, spotted sandpipers, pheasants, kites, ospreys, yellow wagtails, and so many other beautiful birds.
My husband got over 70 birds on his list of birds he'd seen!

There's a lovely visitor centre too, and the staff and volunteers are always so welcoming and informative of what's going on in the reserve.

The visitor centre shop sells a load of educational resources, bird food, and does food and drink. It also has telescopes set up so people can do birding whilst having food.

Rutland Water Nature Reserve is a wonderful place to visit and makes a brilliant day trip. It's a little ornithologists paradise with so much to see!

I recommend visiting the Rutland Water Nature Reserve!

Lovely place for a relaxing walk taking in the spectacular views. There are paths shared with cyclists but you can walk nearer the water. Various car pars around it including cafes & toilets although if your staying longer than 3hrs you may want to park at the smaller ones as these are a flat ÂŖ3 per day.

A fun filled day riding bikes with friends around the park, took us like 3 hours to go round but was worth it. Recommend your bicycle is in top shape or you can always rent from the shop and they do repairs as well. Great place for family and friends

We had a wonderful time at the two nature reserves on Rutland Water. The views of osprey and bramblings were most memorable. It's a great place for all ages. The only drawback is that the paths are only dirt tracks and can be muddy and waterlogged after rain.

Great walking territory with or without a dog ) designated areas are for dogs off the lead). Beautiful scenery bit spoilt by ignorant individuals leaving piles of picnic rubbish and disposable barbecues . Snacks available at some of the car park areas round the Water.
