Went in today with a faulty rotary tool and was exchanged for a new item. Hassle free and exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Just wanted to say a big thank you to "Jess" in Maidstone (Lockmeadow) branch, there was only one person in the queue in front of me but I stood there with a smile on my face as I listened to "Jess" talking to the customer, I've visited 3 times since I moved to Maidstone and every time "Jess" has been smiling as i walked in, very friendly and helpful, and seems to always be cheerful.
Up until I was medically dismissed I worked in customer service for Dunelm and know how sometimes it's harder work than it should be, but you have to grin and bear it, but this young lady really has a fantastic customer service and each time I've left with a big smile. The customers really do notice and appreciate things like this and it makes the visit even more worthwhile.
Thank you again "Jess" for cheering me up with your smile.

Generally the staff and service are good. Occasionally lacks flexibility/common sense/trade knowledge. One of the girls affects that new young person accent: the one that sounds like they have never been to school. I think it unprofessional. Makes me cringe. Can't understand why any company would employ someone like that in a public facing role... Other staff are mainly helpful, though not all know the trade.
