Been buying sealey tools for years.
But that stops now.
The no quibble life time guarantee is a joke.
They won't exchange broken tools unless you can prove were you bought it, when and provide a receipt.
Definitely going back to snap on now. So much easier.
AND TO TOP IT OFF I RANG CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD NO. THEN AFTER WRITING THIS THEY REPLIED WITH PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE ?
It was Sam on customer service who told me no guarantee...

After my experience with a new 4 tonne sealey trolley jack,
Sealey 4040TB, supposedly aimed at being a tyre bay jack! I'll never buy another Sealey product again if this isn't resolved.
I have many Sealey products in my workshop.
Absolutely appalling.
After returning it twice for repair & being without it for over a week each time, then a week after it was last returned, the bearings fell out of the caster wheels & I was told caster wheels are a consumable item!
Now, from full height, under load it takes around 45 seconds to lower to the floor, dropping suddenly as the tyres touch the floor. Sealey say this is a safety feature due to new legislation, yet it wasn't like this when they returned it!
The instructions clearly state, on lowering the vehicle, the more you turn the handle, the faster the descent. This doesn't happen.
There is clearly an issue here with a lifting device & I can't believe a company of this size & reputation is quibbling over an obviously faulty £250 jack.

Parts seem a very good price, their tools are always much closer to high end than budget but it is the help of one of their tech support guys (David) that has provoked me into leaving a 5 star review.

David was quick to respond to my emails, he helped me diagnose my compressor after I misdiagnosed it myself, he was patient and friendly and quite frankly - a credit to Sealey.

I have worked in customer care for 20 years and David's care of me was flawless.

Thankyou.

Sealey for the win. Broke a 1/4 extension wobble contacted sealey with my warranty login details and within 1 week my new one arrived. I have loads of sealey tools and trust me they hold up to the abuse I put them through on a daily basis as a mechanic. Especially love the lock on socket sets they do. Sent them the photo and boom 1 week a new one arrived in the post.

I recently contacted Sealey Tools as a couple of years ago my wife gave me a mechanics crawler/chair for use in getting under cars, as a gift. Having assembled this sometime ago, one of the wheel fixings was stripped, bit due to mobility issues I had not used the crawler until recently. I remembered about the fixing and contacted Sealey to see if they could provide me with an alternative and how much it would cost, bearing in mind the guarantee has now ended. To my absolute delight, they have supplied the fixing completely free of charge. My experience of dealing with them from their swift response to my email and their kind goodwill are incredibly positive. Their products are without doubt some of the best on the market, but customer service like this deserves sharing with others.

My observation is that Sealey refer all low star reviews to another phone line, but don't answer or refer any emails of complaint that they receive on their sales contact email address, which is actually used in their direct marketing to customers that have purchased their tools. This demonstrates a total disconnect between the sales department and customer feedback. Sales departments should always have notice of customer feedback.

I invested in a heavy duty hydraulic motorcycle lift 22 months ago £1400.The pump has failed already having been used a maximum of 15 times. There was no real help and had to purchase another pump at £200.Obviously I consider the pump not fit for purpose and interested to see how long this one lasts. Completely let down by Sealey for customer relations.
