Had a sausage roll and apple Danish, and they were both delicious, but we went to sit down with them and as soon as I took a bite a woman appeared to ask of everything was OK and proceeded to say if we eat in we'll have to pay extra VAT on the food as it had already been added to the drinks. I was like that's fine we'll leave then, to which she said no because we'd already started eating. I understand that some places you have to pay extra to sit in but that hadn't been made clear at any point. I'm already a little annoyed that the drinks had been charged extra to sit in, as they were in takeaway cups and we weren't asked whether we wanted to sit in - as the rules were not specified. But to then wait till I'd taken a bite out of a sausage roll to try and charge me more - just no. Charge me what it costs and don't trick me 🤷

One of the best cafes I've been to. Lovely home made soup and bread. Great atmosphere. Great prices. Not your usual standard cafe. Just wish I lived nearer.

Ladies at the bakery are so lovely and friendly! Each one of them made us feel so welcomed. Children loved their icecream and I loved my coffee. We bought some goodies from the shop which were also fab. Highly recommended!

Cakes are always nice here and we always buy scones. Unfortunately on this occasion when we got home we didn't know the scones we got were made from a wholemeal mixture. The lady never said they were wholemeal and as we have always got scones from here and they have always been made from white mixture. I gave the scones a try but found them salty only had a couple off bites and threw them away. Think it should be mentioned when buy them in future if they are white or wholemeal
