Recently had a two day fashion shoot at this studio and the space was amazing which includes a neat little dressing room and kitchenette. Nathaniel, the owner could not have been more open and friendly making the whole experience an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend this studio!

A brilliant session at this wonderful studio. With so many sets, so many props and so many bits of equipment, the only restriction on you as a photographer is your own imagination, My models loved the space and the welcome, and I think we all had a simply wonderful time. Had a shoot with a model today I haven't shot with in years but she was sporting a cool new look.

Nathan was gracious enough to host us at short notice and what a find Silkwood is. Whilst I'd been aware of it for a number of years this was my first chance to shoot there.

A number of areas to shoot in so you can work studio lighting or natural light as you need. Couple of interesting spaces that reflect the mill and aged setting.

A plethora of seats, chairs, sofas and posing options and more lights than I really knew what to do with, settling on two for the most part.

And being a mill, Silkwood has the al important ceiling height so that you can get good height on your lights and use a book for great portrait lighting positioning and angles.

Nathan was attentive without being in the way.

I'll be back in '25 as it's by far the best studio close to me, and now I know the possibilities there's clearly more to explore!

Im not normally a studio photographer, however today I spent the morning shooting at the brilliant Silkwood studio in Cleckheaton. The studio is very spacious and is kitted out very well. From the onset of the session Nathan was on hand to advise and help whenever the need arose. For any one wanting to be creative then I can highly recommend the studio, the lighting set ups, and the friendly atmosphere.. I will definitely return.

My first time in this fantastic studio
It was such a cool and creative space! Nathaniel, the kind, respectful, and caring owner, made my experience absolutely delightful. He met me near my car and helped with my heavy bag. Throughout the day, he kept the studio warm and cozy, ensuring I was comfortable. The temperature was perfect! Nathaniel's attentiveness was a joy to have around. He also assisted all the photographers, helping them set up lighting and anything else they needed.

The studio itself is one of the most comfortable I've been to. It features a spacious changing room equipped with everything you might need—mirrors, great lighting, outfits, and props. The studio is huge, with a big photo cove, a small decorated room, and several corners with fantastic backdrops. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, and the equipment is top-notch. Photographers are thrilled with the lighting setups and creative opportunities the space provides.

The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. Thanks to this amazing facility, we captured so many great shots with the photographers. Nathaniel even joined for a small shoot, and the photos he took were incredible. He’s a talented photographer and an exceptional person.

I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking to create something special. It’s the perfect place to let your creativity shine. Thank you, Nathaniel!

Had a photoshoot here yesterday and my lord... We were not prepared (we are a band and we have little experience in the photo scene). Lucky for us the owner of the studio was already on top of things, helping us set up lights, frame shots, idea's for posing and prop use.

Long story short, for the money you're paying, is it worth booking? Yes. Customer service was amazing, set's were spot on, lights, camera and action were all great. Hopefully my sub-par editing skills do the studio some level of justice!

Enjoyed using the studio today and was welcomed by a very helpful owner. Great facilities and we have used this a few times with our daughter who is a photographer, lots of space to work around with and can be tailored to your needs.
