We count ourselves very lucky to have met Simon. We had spent some years living in the house and knew that the existing kitchen was cramped and awkward but weren’t really sure what to put in its place, beyond knowing that we needed more space. Once we had obtained planning permission to extend the old kitchen, we began discussing layouts with Simon. We started with some vague half formed ideas about how the new kitchen should look. Simon did a brilliant job of teasing out those thoughts and coming up with some initial concepts that we were then able to narrow down into a final design. A process which I had been expecting to be an onerous and time-consuming challenge turned out to be a genuine pleasure and there was a real sense of excitement about what we could create. Simon always acted as a guide rather than a dictator; he was ready to provide suggestions without ever making us feel that we were being pushed towards something that we did not want.
When it came to the installation, watching the kitchen take shape was a real joy. The fact that Simon’s team had made the units themselves came through in the care they took to ensure that everything was done perfectly. It was a pleasure to have them in the house.
My previous experience with many aspects of interior design is that the reality of the final result never quite lives up to the imagined design but in this case the reverse is true. We had high expectations and Simon and his team surpassed them. Even after six months of living with it, it still puts a smile on my face each time I see it.

We first started talking to Simon after we were let down by a previous contractor. From the very start he was excited about our project which was a kitchen in a new space, a study and a utility room. We were shown numerous colour palettes and several discussions took place as to what would work in this newly created space. Immense care was taken to ensure that the units worked as we had a very large roof lantern installed.

Simon and his team have an amazing eye for detail, including recommending that our existing ovens that we were going to reuse, were replaced so that it matched our new microwave. None of our requests fazed the team including pull out steps for our dogs to walk up into the large sink for a wash after a muddy walk.

We are delighted with the end product, it works and we are really enjoying our new space.

Simon is a total professional, from understanding our brief, showing us examples of wood, producing scaled drawings right through to fitting the finished items of furniture. His communication was excellent keeping us informed throughout the whole project and we were over the moon with the end result. We cannot praise Simon and his team enough.
