Simply Log Cabins from ordering to delivery to arranging someone to build the log cabin were excellent.

They provided the information on what type of base was needed and what was best to treat the logs with.

Even though Covid19 was having a big impact on supply and prices we were kept informed all the way to delivery. Delivery arrived on the day they promised.

It arrived in kit form on a pallet protected from the weather.

They also arranged for a joiner to build the log cabin. He turned up on time and completed the job in the morning.

We love our log cabin. During the week it's an office, and at the weekend, it's somewhere to relax and enjoy the garden.

There's also room for a sofa bed for family to stay over.

Was worried and nearly put off due to some of the poor reviews, so glad I went ahead, from order to driver delivery which was ahead of schedule and perfectly packaged to protect all items. I think people have to realise it’s a natural product and there will be the odd imperfection before purchase. Very pleased would recommend

The delivery turned up unannounced, we were advised that notice would be given.
Inconvenient, but just the start.

The cabin arrived damaged, timbers split and glass smashed for the double glazed windows.

After a two week wait for them to send a replacement glass panel we were asked to source a replacement ourselves as it would be quicker!

Once we refused to do so a replacement glass for the window was arranged by Simply Log Cabins but that we were to fit the glass ourselves (of course we a not double glaziers).

Upon complaining again we were told by a Declan that he had done us a favour already by arranging for replacement glass to be sent to us and that we should fit it ourselves…

Ridiculous.

Would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.

Excellent support from Simply Log Cabins in choosing and designing a garage which was delivered early. Constructed the garage in three days and very pleased with the final result.

Cancelled my first order without notice.
Reordered but had to chase
Shed arrived. Said it was a 5x4 shed. Its actual measurements are 4’7” x 3’3”. Too small for what I wanted. Why not just advertise as a 4 foot wide shed?!

Wish I could share the pictures the tongue and groove has separated you can see 10 mm daylight through my shed the strengthen brackets left loose the door and lock had to be planned and the lock failed within a wk it’s been up 4 months and it’s falling apart at the seems after paying a lot of money I’m only now finding out the service is pretty poor, the panels have expanded and all come loose shame I can’t upload photos I wouldn’t mind but top money was spent on this for a below average job, don’t trust anyone to build it for you if you want it done right

This feedback is related to an £8000+ purchase of a Bertsch Summer house through Simply log cabins / Garden Chic (same company). Bertsch is an excellent high quality European producer which are supplied to this company as a third party seller. This company does not produce the product. The feedback is entirely related to the appalling customer service, poor management and the disgusting manner in which they treat their customers as soon as they have your money. We fully appreciate in these COVID times there is huge demand and production delays can happen. Thus, it is even more important the company who take your money keep you updated on your order, especially when delays happen.
We have now had to send in excess of 16 emails over a 4 month period to find any information on our order and delivery. Not once have the company contacted us without us chasing them first and you get a different person and answer almost every time.
Order placed 16/6/21 for delivery last week Aug / first week Sep
25/8/21 delivery now 2nd week Sep
15/9/21 delivery now 2nd half Sep
21/9/21 @ 14:01 delivery now 6/7th Oct
21/9/21 @ 16:41 factory to start production week commencing 4 Oct
22/9/21 Delivery now back to 6/7th Oct
This seems to be a common theme on other feedback left and clearly the company has done absolutely nothing to address this major weakness in their company’s communication with its customers and being upfront and honest about deliveries. We full expect the company to leave its usual gushing apologies, blaming everyone from the producer, weather to COVID. However, the simple fact is that it is their job as the supplier to always keep the customer up to date. We asked for a token gesture of goodwill on the final invoice to reflect the appalling service only to be told we had to pay the invoice in full and take delivery and then they may (MAY!) consider some sort of compensation. In summary, there are many suppliers / online sites that offer these premium European log company brands. If you want an honest hassle-free transaction and delivery, we would absolutely suggest you avoid this company with a long bargepole, they do not deserve your custom.

Unsatisfactory service, paid in full and booked a delivery. Was informed I would receive a call giving a delivery time the day before, no call so I called and was kept on hold then cut off. Rang back and was told they had lost the cabin and would let me know in the next few days when to expect it. The man I spoke to was more concerned about how dissapointed he was with my reaction than how unprofessional the service was! Will now cancel and find a reliable company.
