All lovely staff apart from the lady who served us horrible person with no people skills wouldnt let us use employee family and friends discount as my brother wasn't with us this has never been needed as I came here last week and just used it fine this woman had a full on argument with us and was very rude about it in front on young children. This ' woman' shouldnt work in a shop when she hasn't got any people skills

Such an enjoyable shopping experience thanks this time to Lysette and Harry . Smyths at Thanet has exceptional staff . We returned due to the remarkable service a few days ago by James and yet again were made to feel highly valued as customers .

Its a store with literally everything you need except useful staff, 6 or 7 people queuing for service and all the staff just wandering about ignoring us. Otherwise its a great store with bargains

Lovely shop and all but the poor lady on the till asked for help as there was quite a queue and the lady who I assume is the manager said no to having help because it was close to close and it’s just people trying to check out before close, it was at least 45 minutes before they closed when she asked for help and she seemed so flustered I felt bad. After leaving the store we saw the same “manager” outside smoking with another colleague whilst that same poor person on the till was battling the queue, just seemed a little unfair since the shop wasn’t busy at all, just a long queue and the way the management spoke to the colleague in front of customers outwardly saying “no” to help was not professional at all.

Popped in today to get my children new car seats for their grandparents car. The staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us from start to finish meaning we could leave knowing the car seats were fixed correctly in the car and ready for use. Really great experience

It's a toy store and a good one at that! Loads of toys to choose from and something for the big kids too! Like games and consoles! Always a great selection and the prices are always lower than the usual high street!

Ordered a trampoline online to collect. Thankfully I was able to park near the entrance/exit. On arrival the store was very busy, I did want to look at a swing seat but the stock was too high and I could not locate a staff member so will look another time. In fairness a few tills were open so they can’t be in two places.
Went to collect the trampoline, the cashier told me an assistant would be over soon to ring it out.
I didn’t wait long, I wish I’d got the staff members name as he was very helpful, he lifted both boxes onto the trolley, told me which was the heavier of the two boxes (so I knew when I got home) and loaded them into my car, chatty and friendly too
Purchased on 20/03/22 around 3pm, hopefully he will see/hear about this as excellent customer service
