We have used Solitaire for a few years now and our recent experience enforces our positive view of this company, We needed to replace a faulty concealed shower unit. A member of the team came out to give options and advice, following which two engineers completed the new shower installation, including replacement tiling, very professionally. We were extremely satisfied with a job very well done.

We chose Solitaire to install our new Air Conditioning system for our bedroom. Dan visited beforehand to discuss options, accommodate where we ideally wanted the inside and outside units and advised as to the different models we could have installed. Dan and Jack then installed the Midea Breezeless E system over a couple of days to an extremely high standard. Both units were very neatly and unobtrusively installed which was exactly what we wanted. Dan assisted in setting up the system, pairing it to the app and showed us how to operate it. Faultless install, would recommend.

Used them last year for a boiler service but won’t be going back.

I decided to call this company again after receiving an email from them, but my recent experience was disappointing. The woman who answered the phone (the owner) was extremely unprofessional and raised her voice at me while I was trying to clarify what type of boiler I have and how many jobs need to be created for the service.

As someone with English as a second language, I did my best to explain the situation. I initially thought I had a combi boiler plus an older-style boiler because that’s how it was explained by the builders. Upon researching further, I realized it’s actually called a system boiler. I was also trying to explain that there’s a hot water cylinder upstairs (though I didn’t know the correct term for it at the time).

Instead of helping me figure things out, the owner kept repeating, “If you need two boilers serviced, you get two boilers serviced,” in a dismissive tone. I tried to explain that last year, there was only one charge for the service, but she wasn’t willing to listen.

When I asked if there was someone else who could help—like one of the gas engineers who visited my home last year—she became defensive and accused me of trying to “patronise” her.

The lack of professionalism and willingness to help was shocking, especially given my positive experience with their service last year. Based on this interaction, I won’t be using their services again or recommending them to anyone.

I’ve never known a plumbing company so responsive and willing to help, than Paul Corrigan’s Solitaire Group. Their speedy and knowledgeable response reassured me that my call for plumbing help would be quickly resolved - and it was!

I had my toilet repaired by the plumber. He did a fantastic job. Left everything very clean. The company itself are brilliant. I will need a new bathroom soon. Guess where I'll go!

Worcester-Bosch gas combi-boiler annual service. Friendly technician arrived on time and appeared to work efficiently and tidily. No complaints about the service. Labour is charged by the hour even though the job took less than one hour. Beware excessive mark-up on Fernox inhibitor, invoiced at 3.29 times the retail price at £36 for 265ml; under protest I paid £20, which was accepted grudgingly.
