Really impressed by the whole service received at Spa surgery. The reception staff were polite and efficient and made sure I was directed to the correct appointment type, even at 8 in the morning when they've already answered hundreds of calls. Every doctor I saw was caring and I didn't feel rushed. Call backs and messages on the online system were always timely. Always manage a same day appointment for urgent problems. I feel confident myself and my family will receive excellent care with this practice in future.

I am blown away by how fantastic the service and care have been. When I used to be with Wetherby Surgery I would leave every appointment (always with a locum) with no solution and feeling like I had wasted my time. That is if I could get an appointment. Since joining Boston Spa, my family and I have been able to get an appointment with no issue or concern and every single appointment has been dealt with care and have always been so responsive to our needs. Absolutely shocking practice!! Turn up for an appointment that was booked 2 weeks in advance (earliest availability!) To be told no appointment had been made but could fit me in in 15minutes. Waited 1.30hrs to finally be seen! Reminded me why I have totally given up with this surgery!! If I could have given no stars I would have!!

We moved mum (who has MS) to Boston Spa so she’s closer to family and when we registered mum at the surgery in the midst of the pandemic the GPs and reception team could not have been more helpful in getting the right medical assessments and support in place.

I have to call on behalf of mum as she no longer has the dexterity in her hands to use a phone, when I order repeat prescriptions they are so helpful and get them sorted straight away. Definitely one less thing to worry about knowing we can contact the GP for mum with ease and that any concerns are dealt with professionally and in a caring way as it is stressful and emotional when caring for family.

Brilliant team - thank you, such a different experience to where mum was registered before.

We really like Spa Surgery, I love that they have telephone appointments as it means I don't always have to leave work to attend, and if they need to see me/us then they will book us in. All the Drs I have seen have been great, especially Dr Mawer, Dr Harrison and Dr Bond. They are very knowledgeable, caring, understanding and very on the ball. My previous practice was shambolic never could get an appointment and when you did they never dealt with anything.
Very thankful to be a patient at Spa Surgery. Their reception team are also lovely and try their best to help.
The practice itself is dated and would benefit from a little modernisation. Especially the toilets where many of times I have walked in through the first door to be greeted by someone's bottom almost pressed against the 2nd door window.? jokes aside the the dated practice is just a shell its the staff that count. My old practice was a lovely new practice but the staff were useless.

Everyone is perfectly helpful and only since leaving the catchment do I now know how amazing this doctors is. I never really thought about spa surgery or how important it is until I moved house. Been here since birth so everything has been so lovely.
I never thought about changing address would mean I had to change doctors - very naive, but it never crossed my mind! If you're in the catchment then spa surgery has the kindest and most understanding set of doctors, nurses and staff who have helped me through my life!! Nothing compares to the trust and faith you have in a specific doctors!
