The is a beautiful church where Churchill was married and the headless body of Sir Walter Raleigh is buried. Often overlooked due to its proximity the the Abbey, it is exquisite and has a very long history from the 11th century. Worth a visit

Often overlooked because of its proximity to Westminster Abbey, St. Margaret’s church is a destination in its own right and well worth a visit. It was built as the local parish church for an area of Westminster that is dominated by the next door Abbey. Many famous Brits have married here, including Winston Churchill. Entry to St Margaret’s is problematic because it is in the Abbey’s grounds and you have tell Abbey security that you want to visit the church. They should make the church more accessible from the street.

This is an ancient church that is still working as a parish church. It's on the grounds of Westminster Abbey so you need to ask to go in at the gates of the Abbey. There is no charge to visit. It's beautiful and a lot bigger thannit looks. It's a truly lovely place for quiet prayer. They do hold sevices as well.

The church was originally founded in the twelfth century by Benedictine monks and was rebuilt from 1486 to 1523, at the instigation of King Henry VII. The new church, which largely still stands today, was consecrated on 9 April 1523. It has been called "the last church in London decorated in the Catholic tradition before the Reformation".

A beautiful church right next to Westminster Abby. Most people miss this one for the main attraction but it is well worth the visit particularly to some quiet away from the crowds visiting the Abby.
