I know people who have worked here so not surprised at the incompetence. But they’re full of false promises! It takes ages to get any progress on applications and when you ring, they promise they’ll get it done and you’re still waiting! If they bothered to work instead of start drama inside their offices, they might get somewhere.

Probably the worst council I've been with. Why they employ so many people, on crazy salaries, when nobody actually interacts with the public (apart from online forms) is beyond me. I think they're all just in for the cushy penions and the (skive) work from home policy. Not fit for purpose, like most councils.
Sack them all and start again.

I was trying to speak to someone who might help us with business hot desking for residents who primarily work from home. After 6 transfers and option 76 of 999 options, 'if you want to dress up your pet hamster in a fancy outfit whilst standing on one leg', I just gave up. There must be a better way... surely.

Another missed bin collection. Website states the missing collections, appears to be most of my area. Complaints procedure is deliberately complicated and won't let you express your dissatisfaction until the following day, despite them having no intention to collect today. Call centre staff indifferent, one word answers & very much " it's not my department "

I just live 2 month in cheadle and send me whole year tax even I'm student here. And now I'm living in Scotland but again received 408£ fine and when I call to council no one attend my call after 43 minute ringing.... Disgusting response

Stockport Council has now teamed up with several collection agencies. They threaten you with possession order if you don't make large, unaffordable, unsustainable payments every month. Stockport Council has moral and ethical issues that need to be addressed immediately.
