I found the whole shopping experience very old fashioned. In particular the delivery times. I was told they would be about 4 weeks. At the end of that time I had to phone only to be told that because we lived far away in Somerset, then there would be a 'hefty' charge to the company as the manager would not sanction the delivery until the delivery company had other items in Devon. They said it would be another month. I was never told this could happen at the time of purchase. At no stage did they take ownership of the problem but merely blamed their suppliers. I doubt I would have heard a thing had I not followed up their tardiness.

I had to track this order by myself and had little confidence it would even be delivered next month. My experience with most Internet shopping has been quite the opposite, with fast delivery service and excellent customer follow on service, including accurate tracking update texts. The manager was singularly unhelpful when challenged about this poor customer service and even 'threatened' not to give me a refund as this was not part of the contract. I think his attitude and style reflected badly on his company.

The customer care attitudes (If that is the word) were very much seventies style and with much more professional and modern suppliers these days I would certainly not recommend this company.

Leaking roof £1000+ furniture covered up with plastic wrap to stop it getting wet felt so sorry for the staff how can you sell high end furniture in a leaky shed...
