A huge thank you to Sarah, who helped me out recently. My 7 year old new build has a canopy over the front door; the caps which cover the bolts had suffered the elements to the point they were crumbling. Having searched Ebay, amazon, and all the other usual sites, I was left stuck. I then noticed the Storm King logo on the front of one of the surviving caps and immediately contacted them. Although they don't sell to the general public, having explained the situation to Sarah, she kindly sent me out a number of replacement caps. Great customer service!

I’ve never bought a product directly from Storm King but my new build developer did. I’ve been in my house nearly 7 years and it’s only now that part of their product failed after years of facing the elements. The small but aesthetically please bolt caps had corroded to point they became powder when touched. I had spent days trying to find a replacement part and initially didn’t know the over head storm shelter was their product. It was only when I clocked the brand name on a surviving cap that I was able to reach out to them. After an email to explain my predicament. I was half expecting to be told they come in bags of 100 and they cost £xxx. However Matt Hunt replied to say he could organise for a smaller volume to be sent free of charge as goodwill gesture.
Fantastic customer service, I will certainly be looking at their products in future when we eventually look to complete an extension to the house. Thanks Storm King and thank you Matt.

My Builder bought two GRP stacks from Stormking. They supplied them made with the wrong bricks - a completely different colour. And the support framework they supplied doesn't fit. They sent 'specialist' out to site - who had to be educated about how the framework was supposed to work - who agreed that it was the wrong one. He went of to get it sorted and two days later they sent an e-mail saying effectively ' sod off. Everything is ok and its all you're getting from us' Every step of the process after placing the order has been disastrous. I've ended up with two wrongly bricked chimneys with a support frame that doesn't fit. Now i have to waste precious time issuing proceedings to get my money back. What an absolute bunch of second rate people working for a second rate company. Stay well clear.

I have a door canopy that after just 2-3 years has totally discoloured and is now a lovely shade of smokers yellow. Odd that they only provide a 2 year warranty for a product that according to their website will last for many many years.... yes if you want it to make your house look unattractive. I can see why many developers choose these products. Cheap!

We ordered 5 GRP chimneys and 21 GRP dormers from Storming. They are a terrible company to deal with- had problems from the start. We booked in our first delivery date and they just sent out our products when it suited them, they did not work to our timetable at all. This was extremely problematic as we had limited space on site and needed a crane to lift the dormer windows up onto the roof. It proved very difficult to book in the crane at the right time as Stormking were not working with us or co-ordinating. This meant that we booked in a crane and then not all the products were delivered so we had to book in a second crane to lift the remaining products into place at a large cost to us, which Stormking took no responsibility for despite the fact we had agreed the delivery date multiple times. For our final delivery, knowing all these problems might occur, we tried to make especially sure of the delivery date for all the products remaining. We also held off booking a crane until they had arrived, which slowed down our workflow. However is it lucky that we did because the products were delivered a week after our agreed delivery date. The organisation at this company seems to be non existent and they just send out products when it suits them without prior warning or communication.

There also seems to be no way to get across a complaint to the company, as when we tried to complain about how they were doing business we were met with responses along the lines of: 'that just how we operate'
