Ordered a brisket online from them for a long slow BBQ cook.
Loved that I can specify which day I want the meat to arrive, that it arrives fresh (not ever frozen) and it has been well wrapped and insulated.
I was initially disappointed with the lack of fat cap in certain areas, I was worried the meat would dry out to much. In the end it was absolutely fine and it tasted fantastic.

Great stuff! I've been on a carnivore diet for almost two years now, and I haven't had such tasty meat so far. The organ selection is amazing and hard to get, so I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Ordered for the first time from these guys for a weekend BBQ and was very impressed with the quality of the meat. I ordered a 4kg brisket, a Boston pork butt, some grass fed beef mince and some Texan hot link sausages. Everything was of the highest quality and the delivery and packaging was also fantastic, I'll definitely be a return customer. The only negative was the trim on the brisket was a little rough

Swaledale is my go to butcher, the steak cuts are great value for money and you get to try new cuts and eat seasonally too. They have the best salt beef and its one of my favourite brunch dishes when having friends over. Swaledale are my go to for this, its on my monthly list of things to buy when I place orders. Have gifted a box recently to a friend and through that Swaledale have got three new customers. I think that speaks volumes about their quality and high standards. Well done.

I am starting to use Swaledale as my go to butcher as their meat is of superb quality. I like the fact that they are nose to tail butchers and supply interesting and less found cuts and offal. Their website is instructive and their customer relations team was exemplary when one of my parcels went missing. They are one of the few mail order meat suppliers who sends the meat fresh rather than frozen which is an added bonus. Well done Swaledale

Very easy to order great food, it arrives very well packed and clearly labeled. Best of all they have pigs in blankets all year round. Everything I've ever bought from Swaledale has been the best tasting meat, just have to let the freezer empty before my next order.

My goal these days is to eat less meat - which may seem like a funny way to start a glowing review for an online butchers ... BUT ... when we do eat meat, we want top quality, from well reared, slow-grown, free-roaming animals. I don't want cheap nasty meat wrapped in plastic from a supermarket. Support businesses like Swaledale! They have great offers on all the time - so you can pick up bargains. PLUS look out for the collaborations for something extra special.

I recently tried Swaledale for the first time. I bought a pack of pork belly, beef short ribs and some diced mutton. Over the past few days I've prepared the pork and the beef for guests. Both were excellent. I skinned the pork belly, scored both sides, rubbed in my own blend of spices, herbs, garlic and demerara sugar and slow roasted it for several hours finishing it with my own Asian barbecue sauce. I coated the short ribs in well-seasoned flour, browned them well all around, the braised them on a bed of onion, carrots and celery in good red wine and beef stock for about 3 hours. Both dishes were very well received.
