A wealth of knowledge and skills within the helpful team at TJ Dobsons!
I commissioned them to make a flight of stairs for my attic and wanted a clean design, but with a slightly different twist. After helpful discussions we agreed a relatively straightforward flight with a glazed balustrade and LED lights set in to the side string, to provide night accent lighting to the stairs and hallway. They also arranged to router out the timber at the rear of the lights in a manner which will allow for replacements to be rewired in, if necessary. Phil also created an insulated 'secret door' for me at the same time, disguised as a set of recessed shelves, to give access to a part of the attic not converted - outstanding! Great service, fair prices, great products👍

Phil and his team fabricated and installed a run of fitted wardobes earlier this year. The wardobe required all fixings to be hidden as the doors were glass. The execution of the job was flawless and we have commisioned more work off the back of this job. We are more than happy with Phil and his team.

Had a bespoke Ash vanity unit made by this company. I was introduced to Phil the owner by our builder. I visited the workshop to view the different types of wood. Phil is a really honest, helpful, patient guy. I was so pleased with the finished unit, fitted perfectly, top quality for much less than I was going to pay for a similar product. Would recommend anybody who needs anything making in wood to discuss your needs first with this company.

Avoid at all costs. We had Phil Dobson and his team to implement a staircase and new floor into the loft conversion. He was paid in full and hadn't completed the job but promised to come back to fix down the floor when electric plumbing etc was done. During the rest of the conversion carried out by other builders they lifted the floor boards and showed me that the joists were not level in any way. I expressed my concern with Phil and his team and told him that it would take 2 days work to level out the joists and unfinished work underneath the floor boards. He has refunded £100 and would not budge on that. We had to pay another joiner £400 to put right. We has many quotes and they were all the same. We are not in the process of having spindles attached and again issues with the staircase that Phil and team manufactured and fitted. There is no newel post for the spindles to attach to on the left hand side which will cost another £200 to put right. phil is eager to take money but doesnt deliver the results and doesnt finish the work. We are currently considering taking Dobsons to a small claims court.
