I was able to visit one of the other Tayto Group Limited Factories, this one in Scunthorpe. I was taken round by Jimmy, who is an absolute credit to Tayto and all things Golden Wonder. I was shown from potato to packet the process that all Tayto crisps and snacks go through. It was a day filled with pride not only for Golden Wonder, but also for Scunthorpe!

One day I was told to clean machines and take them apart, without any training provided. I was told to do it fast, by the supervisors or manager of line 9 (night shift), which is above his duties. Manager is responsible for H&S and meeting his targets.
His targets are not my target. Let’s keep it simple, why should I run if I can walk, plus running is against health and safety on the side. After midnight I were packing on line 9 , unfortunately they were so many boxes going that main line got blocked, so we had to stack them on a floor which is against H&S ( plus somebody had to unblock main line) ,. Again MR supervisors or MR Manager of line 9 turned up and said” Work fast.” I said: “how? If the main line can’t coupe already”. He said: work faster that’s the slowest line we got. I told him”it’s not possible to work faster because main line slows us down, so I quit and btw: You are not qualified to do your job. You don’t know the fact that target is a fiction, created to slave people, Every time you reach it, it will increase. Is it worth the money?
MR supervisors or MR Manager of line 9 you don’t run so don’t make any one else run.
You may have a qualification, but you don’t have balls to do it right job – you all act against Modern Slavery act 2015 – simply by saying “work faster”.
