Stopped here overnight and honestly, it was such a great experience. I was too tired to even try the food, but the campervan picnic area was perfect — clean, quiet, and really well looked after (with just the background hum of cars from the nearby motorway — nothing unexpected).

Overnight stay was only £13 (for the car), and you get access to spotless 24/7 toilets and showers, which was such a relief after a long drive. The car park itself was super tidy, with lovely picnic benches and a handy dog walking area to stretch your legs.

Such a brilliant stop just off the motorway — really impressed!

I recently stopped at this service station and was absolutely delighted! It's so much more than your average pit stop. It's practically a lovely farm shop, bursting with an incredible selection of fresh, local produce. The food options were fantastic, and I was particularly impressed by the range of local beers.

The fact that they have a butcher on site is a huge plus, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Everything felt very high-quality and well-sourced.

And don't even get me started on the gelato! It was incredibly tasty, and a perfect treat. I wholeheartedly recommend this service station; it's a real gem!

Lovely scenic spot. Various sandwiches, fish and chips, roast dinner options. What a refreshing change to the usual stops on the motorway. Everything was locally sourced and of a good quality. The vegetables and potatoes were well seasoned. Great find

Got there on the opening day of the new breakfast counter. There was a tiny bit of disorganisation, but that was soon forgotten when 'The Farmers Breakfast' was put on our trays. Absolutely amazing, all locally sourced produce, and kept me going all the way back to Essex. Best service station in the country, I go to a lot them.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Both sides of the motorway,Tebay is equally good. Much better than your usual motorway stop offs and not expensive. I loved the fish and chips, proper "fish shop" fish, not the frozen stuff. Great choice of food and cakes. And a lovely view to go with it. We watched the ducks and heron on the pond outside while we ate.

If you want real home cooked food then stop at Tebay. There’s no fast food concessions here but there’s still something for everyone. From meals to sandwiches to coffee and cakes. Sit in or takeaway. Eat inside or out.
Plenty of toilets and parking.

Recently visited and was impressed with the quality and variety of hot meals offered and properly cooked, tasted good too. No fast junk food here. Meals were reasonably priced too. Staff polite , friendly and helpful , also was impressed by overall cleanliness of the whole area.

They are still doing work here so a bit cramped, but the kitchen/restaurant was fine. Food was amazing - salads and one mac and cheese (my (adult) son said it was the best one he'd had). We got a window seat and watched the frogs - could have sat there all day!
